Generation 7 Setup

Gen 7 games on real hardware disable the console's wireless communication to enable NFC. An ips patch is needed to fix this if you want to use rosalina menu input redirection. The patches can be found with a bunch of other patches on GBAtemp. Here are the USUM patches and the SM patches. You only need to download the zip with the patches you can ignore the rest of the GBAtemp article unless you plan to use multiple patches.

The patch we need is called DisableNFC.ips. Make sure you grab the right version for your game.

1. Rename this file to code.ips
2. Insert your SD card into your pc
3. Navigate to SD\luma\titles
4. Make a new folder named as the title ID of your game, example for US SD\luma\titles\00040000001B5000
   • S TitleID: 0004000000164800
   • M TitleID: 0004000000175E00
   • US TitleID: 00040000001B5000
   • UM TitleID: 00040000001B5100
5. Place code.ips into the folder you just made
6. Eject your SD card and put in back in the 3ds
7. Hold select when powering on your 3ds to boot into the Luma3ds settings
8. Enable game patching then click save and exit
