Added

  • Machine control API for other mods (first used by Encoded Logistics). A new block capability,
    arcforge:machine_control, is on every Arcforge machine and on every block of a formed multiblock (resolving to its
    controller). Through it, other mods can:

    • read a machine's status, progress, current outputs and energy, items, fluids and heat;
    • insert into its input, fuel and catalyst slots and extract from its outputs, always through the machine's own
      rules;
    • change its redstone mode, sides or ports, auto-eject and machine-specific options;
    • read its statistics and listen for status changes, finished operations and faults.

    The API is published separately as net.zagdrath.arcforge:arcforge-api (interfaces only, with its own semantic
    version; this release ships 1.1.0). See docs/API.md. GameTests check it on every machine and every
    multiblock.

  • Gas API for other mods (API 1.1.0). Other mods can now store and move Arcforge gases without sorting them from
    liquids:

    • a gas identity (Gas), with its id, name, colour, temperature in kelvin and steam grade, and a lookup of every gas,
      other mods' gases included, for search and display;
    • a gas handler block capability, arcforge:gas_handler. It is on every machine with a gas tank, on every block of
      such a formed multiblock, and on Pressurized Cylinders. It lists the gas tanks with their gas, amount and capacity,
      and inserts and extracts by gas and amount through each tank's own rules;
    • the same capability on Gas Cartridges and Jetpacks, so another mod's GUI can fill and empty them.

    Amounts are in mB, as for fluids. Gas colours come from a new synced data map, arcforge:gas_properties, which packs
    and other mods can add their own gases' colours to. GameTests check the registry, a Pressurized Cylinder, the Haber
    Reactor and Electrolyzer, the gas items, and that every machine a pipe can feed gas into has a gas handler.

  • Machines can be switched off remotely. A mod using the API can switch any machine or multiblock off. It then
    stops as if its redstone mode stopped it, keeps its contents, and its GUI shows the new status Switched off
    remotely
    . Machines are on unless switched off this way, and the switch is saved with the machine.

  • Machine statistics. Every machine now counts the operations it completes, the items and fluid it produces and
    consumes, and how long it has spent running and loaded. The totals are saved with the machine. For now, other mods
    read them through the API; the GUIs don't show them.

Changed

  • Steam Turbine Array: a real turbine-generator set. Formed, the array hides its casings and glass and is drawn as
    one machine along its axis, from the steam end to the generator end: a steel plinth (a deck on stepped footings, or
    stepped columns when the structure is taller than the turbine needs); turbine casings on one shaft, each a round
    casing split along the middle by a bolted flange line, growing from high to low pressure (3 to 5 long one turbine
    casing; 6 to 9 high and low pressure; 10 to 15 high, intermediate and a double-flow low-pressure casing with a
    flanged crossover pipe from the intermediate casing's top into the middle of the low-pressure casing); bearing
    pedestals with the shaft and couplings between the casings; a steam chest, stop-valve housings and inlet pipes on the
    high-pressure casing; the low-pressure exhaust neck pointing down; and the generator (lighter steel, cooling ribs, a
    terminal box with FE-red bushings, an FE-red band). Casing diameters follow the cross-section's shorter side (the
    low-pressure casing nearly fills it, the high-pressure about half) and the sections share the length (about 15 / 20 /
    30 / 25%, the rest bearings and couplings); a cross-section wider than tall gets a walkway with railings along its
    front. Every casing has an inspection window on both sides with its bladed rotor behind it (more and longer blade rows
    as the pressure drops), turning with the rotor, so spin-up and coast-down show; the generator's coupling turns too.
    Ports get a nozzle from the machine out to their face; the fitted spots are on top over the steam chest (steam), the
    generator end (energy) and underneath the exhaust neck (Exhaust, where a Condenser Array can connect). Jade names the
    section you look at ("Section: Low-pressure casing") and the fitted spots. A new turbine now starts with a steam, an
    energy and an Exhaust port on those spots (move or clear them with the Wrench; turbines already built keep their
    ports). Unformed casings, the GUI and how the turbine runs are unchanged. The old see-through rotor, lining and steam view are
    gone.

Fixed

  • Nether generation crashed with BetterNether (with WorldWeaver) installed: Feature order cycle found between
    minecraft:warped_forest and betternether:old_fungiwoods. Nether Sulfur Ore was placed in the same worldgen step
    as BetterNether's ores, which come after it in vanilla biomes and before it in BetterNether's own. It now uses the
    underground ores step, which nothing else uses in the Nether. It generates the same as before. A GameTest checks
    the step in every Nether biome.
