Flicklane now runs from the menu bar without a Dock icon. This also applies while the main window is open. Closing the window keeps the app running.

• Reopen: Choose the Flicklane menu bar icon → ⚙ Settings to open the main window.
• Quit: Choose ⏻ Quit from the same menu. Closing the window does not quit the app.
• Existing features: Gestures, keyboard macros, Window Layout, Quick Menu, and scroll settings remain available.
• Scroll troubleshooting: Running reversal in both Flicklane and Scroll Reverser can cancel it out. Enable reversal in only one app. This is documentation of a confirmed app conflict, not a new scroll-engine change.

Quit the old app from its menu bar, then replace it in Applications with Flicklane.app from the ZIP. Settings should show 0.1.7 (26). Existing rules, recordings, menu/language settings, and device profiles are retained.

English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese remain available. Direct built-in-trackpad sensitivity limitations and hardware coverage are unchanged.

• 연결 장치 감지: 앱 실행 후 독이나 USB 수신기로 연결한 마우스가 장치 목록에서 누락되던 문제를 수정했습니다. 주기적 감지와 ‘장치 새로고침’에 최신 목록을 사용합니다. 목록을 읽지 못했을 때 이전 목록을 새 결과로 처리하지 않습니다.
• 적용 확인과 복원: 변경 요청이 받아들여져도 실제 값이 바뀌지 않으면 적용 성공으로 처리하지 않습니다. 적용 중 실패하면 이전 값으로 복원을 시도하며, 이전 버전에서 남은 복원 기록도 처리합니다.
• 트랙패드 제한 표시: 기기별 포인터 설정을 확인할 수 없으면 ‘적용 안 됨’ 안내와 비활성화된 조절기를 표시합니다. ‘macOS 포인터 설정 열기’로 시스템의 이동 속도를 조절할 수 있습니다.

Fixes dock/receiver device discovery and makes pointer-setting status explicit. New messages support Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

• Connected-device discovery: Fixed mice connected through a dock or USB receiver after app launch being missed. Periodic discovery and Refresh Devices use a fresh list. A failed refresh no longer presents an old list as new data.
• Verification and restoration: An accepted request is not treated as successful if the actual setting did not change. Failed applications attempt to restore prior values, including recovery records from earlier versions.
• Trackpad limitations: Devices without verifiable per-device pointer settings show “Not applied” and disabled controls. Open macOS Pointer Settings provides access to the system tracking-speed control.
• Acceleration-off speed: Disables speed controls that legacy acceleration-off modes ignore and identifies affected devices. Supported linear modes retain speed adjustment.

Direct sensitivity control does not apply to the built-in Apple trackpad tested locally. This update does not implement that capability. Scroll direction and gesture recognition are separate features. Automatic external-device scroll reversal does not affect the built-in trackpad.

Updating

Use ⏻ Quit, then replace the app in Applications with Flicklane.app from the ZIP. Settings should show 0.1.6 (25). Existing rules, recordings, menu/language settings, and device profiles are retained, including profiles for devices that cannot currently apply them.

새로운 기능과 개선

• 원형 화면 분할 메뉴: 큰 배치 아이콘, 선택 강조와 체크 표시, 가운데 동작·복원 안내를 제공합니다. 설정 미리보기와 실제 메뉴는 같은 디자인을 사용합니다. 동작 이름을 숨길 수 있고 macOS의 밝은/어두운 모드를 따릅니다.
• 9개 위치 직접 구성: 절반·가운데 절반·사분면·1/3·2/3·4열·6분할·최대화·거의 최대화·높이 최대화·가운데/모서리 이동·크게/작게·복원을 연결하거나 위치를 비웁니다.
• 같은 배치를 다시 실행하면 복원: 왼쪽 절반 등 같은 배치를 같은 창에 다시 적용하면 이전 위치와 크기로 돌아갑니다. 크게·작게는 반복해서 조절하며 별도 복원 동작을 사용합니다.

A redesigned circular Window Layout menu, plus mouse sensitivity and scroll controls. New features support Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Features and improvements

• Circular Window Layout menu: Larger icons, a selection highlight and checkmark, and central action/restore hints. The settings preview matches the live menu. Hide action names and follow macOS light/dark appearance.
• Configure nine positions: Assign halves, a centered half, quarters, thirds/two-thirds, four columns, six cells, maximize/almost maximize/maximize height, center/edge/corner movement, larger/smaller, restore, or leave a position empty.
• Repeat a placement to restore: Apply the same placement to the same window again to return to its earlier position and size. Larger/Smaller remain incremental; use Restore for those actions.
• Separate scrolling profiles: Choose Follow macOS, Natural, or Standard for mice and trackpads. Automatically reverse scrolling for external devices applies only to identified external devices; the built-in trackpad keeps its own setting.
• Pointer speed and acceleration: Enable customization to change speed and acceleration or disable acceleration. Turning it off, resetting, or quitting normally restores changed values; interrupted restoration is retried at the next launch. Some options depend on the driver.
• Main navigation: Gesture → Keyboard Macros → Window Layout → Quick Menu → Mouse Sensitivity.
• Hands-on guides: Practice gestures, keyboard input, window layouts, and Quick Menu inside example screens without modifying real rules or another app's windows.

Using and updating

Select a position in Window Layout → circular preview to change its layout. Mouse Sensitivity is a separate top-level tab; new scroll/pointer overrides are off by default. Profiles apply by device type.

Use ⏻ Quit, then replace the app in Applications with Flicklane.app from the ZIP. Settings should show 0.1.5 (24). Existing rules, recordings, menu settings, and language selection are retained. Finish recording/testing and reopen the app after changing language.

Mouse controls were checked with automated device/input fixtures and property change/restore readback on connected USB mice, not physical feel or Bluetooth reconnection across every device. Unattributed scroll events are left unchanged.

Run the actions saved in Keyboard Macros from Quick Menu as well. This release also separates the keys that trigger a macro from the keys it sends to your app.

Features and improvements

• Link saved macros: Select a Quick Menu position and choose a keyboard macro under Linked action. It runs the original rule's enabled actions in order and follows its stop/continue-on-error setting. Changes to the original name and actions are reflected in the menu.
• Press keys or shortcuts: Use Record output keys to assign a single key or a combination, such as V, [, ], ⌘C, or ⌘⇧S. The trigger and output keys are shown separately.
• Type text: Configure, for example, Shift+A → youtube.com to type at the current insertion point. This is separate from opening a website. Add an Enter key action afterward if needed.
• Input reliability: Text output pairs key-down and key-up events and clears inherited modifier flags. Generated input is marked so that it does not retrigger macro recognition.
• Link validation: Deleted or disabled rules, unavailable presets, and app-scope mismatches do not execute. Rules that reopen Quick Menu cannot run recursively from a slot.
• Five languages: New controls and guidance are available in Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Using and updating

Save key-output or text-typing actions in Keyboard Macros, then enable the rule and its preset. Select the rule in Quick Menu → a position → Linked action to run the same actions from the menu. App scope is checked against the app where the menu opened.

Use ⏻ Quit, then replace the app in Applications with Flicklane.app from the ZIP. Settings should show 0.1.4 (23). Existing rules, recordings, Quick Menu, Window Layout, and language settings are retained. Menu links are stored in app preferences and macro actions in the rules file; the rules JSON alone is not a complete settings backup.

macOS 14·15·26의 내장 트랙패드와 확인 가능한 외장 Apple Magic Trackpad를 호환 대상으로 합니다. 자동 검사는 모든 Mac·트랙패드 세대의 실기기 동작, Bluetooth, 권한 처리, 잠자기 복귀를 보증하지 않습니다. 키 출력은 대상 앱의 단축키 설정과 포커스에 따라 달라지며 Photoshop 등 모든 앱에서 실사용을 검증한 것은 아닙니다.

Compatibility targets are built-in trackpads and verifiable external Apple Magic Trackpads on macOS 14, 15, and 26. Automated checks do not establish physical behavior on every model, Bluetooth, permission handling, or wake/reconnect behavior. Key output depends on the target app's shortcuts and focus; real use in every app, including Photoshop, has not been verified.

새로 사용할 수 있는 기능

• 퀵 메뉴: 상단 네 번째 탭에서 4·5·8·9분할을 고르고 위치별 동작과 표시 이름을 정합니다. 배치를 바꿔도 숨겨진 위치의 설정은 유지됩니다.
• 두 가지 실행 방식: 전용 키를 누른 채 커서를 움직였다가 키를 놓아 선택하거나, 트랙패드·키보드 규칙에 퀵 메뉴 열기를 연결하고 항목을 클릭합니다.
• 선택과 취소: 5·9분할의 가운데는 지정한 동작을 실행하고, 4·8분할의 가운데는 취소합니다. Esc나 다른 앱으로 이동해도 취소합니다. 메뉴 미리보기는 실제 동작을 실행하지 않습니다.
• Fn / 🌐: 퀵 메뉴와 화면 분할의 실행 키로 선택할 수 있습니다. 같은 키를 쓰면 화면 분할이 우선하므로 서로 다르게 지정하세요. macOS의 Fn 동작은 별도 설정이며, 사용법에 설명했습니다.

수정한 문제

• 캡처 또는 동작 확인창에서 취소하면 같은 실행의 나머지 동작도 멈춥니다. 취소한 캡처 뒤에 이전 클립보드 내용을 붙여넣던 문제를 방지합니다. 오류 후 계속하기 설정보다 명시적 취소가 우선하며, 이미 완료한 동작은 되돌리지 않습니다.
• 긴 텍스트를 입력할 때 이모지와 확장 한자가 입력 이벤트 경계에서 잘리는 문제를 수정했습니다.
• 진단 정보에 화면 기록 권한 상태를 추가했습니다. 규칙·키 입력 기록·클립보드 내용은 포함하지 않으며 자동으로 전송하지 않습니다.
• 창 배치 자동 테스트가 실제 마우스 버튼·보안 입력 상태에 영향을 받지 않도록 개선했습니다. 앱의 입력 보호 조건은 유지합니다.
• 배포 스크립트의 Gatekeeper 도구 경로를 수정했습니다.

This release includes Quick Menu beside the cursor and Fn / 🌐 activation, along with fixes for actions following a cancelled capture and long text input.

Available in this release

• Quick Menu: Use the fourth feature tab to choose 4, 5, 8, or 9 positions and assign titles and actions. Switching layouts preserves hidden positions.
• Two ways to select: Hold a dedicated key, move the pointer, and release; or add Open Quick Menu to a trackpad/keyboard rule and click an item.
• Selection and cancellation: The center runs its assigned action in 5/9 layouts and cancels in 4/8 layouts. Escape or switching apps also cancels. Preview menu does not execute actions.
• Fn / 🌐: Available for Quick Menu and Window Layout. Window Layout takes priority if both use the same key, so choose different keys. macOS has a separate Fn preference; see the guide.

Fixes

• Cancelling a capture or action confirmation stops remaining actions in that execution. A cancelled capture no longer proceeds to paste older clipboard content. Explicit cancellation takes precedence over the continue-after-error setting. Completed actions are not undone.
• Fixed emoji and supplementary Unicode characters being split between input events in long text.
• Added Screen Recording permission status to diagnostics. Rules, key input history, and clipboard contents are excluded; nothing is sent automatically.
• Made window-layout tests independent of live mouse-button and Secure Input state while retaining the app's input safeguards.
• Corrected the Gatekeeper executable path in release tooling.

Updating

Use ⏻ Quit, then replace the app in Applications with Flicklane.app from the ZIP. Settings should show 0.1.3 (22). Existing rules, recordings, Quick Menu, Window Layout, and language preferences are retained.

This update improves screen capture permissions, waiting, and cancellation. Existing rules and recorded gestures are preserved.

• Screen Recording permission: Check the current grant and open the relevant System Settings pane from the app. Missing or revoked access produces actionable guidance. Recovery instructions cover outdated macOS permission entries.
• More time to capture: Removed the 30-second limit from region/window selection and the system capture toolbar. Screen recording can continue until you finish. Immediate full-screen captures retain their failure timeout.
• Accurate cancellation: Esc during region/window capture is reported as cancellation. Holding Control to redirect a file capture to the clipboard is supported.
• Preserve permission identity: Development installation tools check signing compatibility before replacing a release app, preventing a different signing identity from breaking its macOS permission association.

Changes

• Expanded compatibility targets to macOS 14, 15, and 26, with Intel and Apple silicon executables in one universal app.
• Added external Apple Magic Trackpad discovery with contact and click input matched to the same device. Eligible external devices take priority, with one active trackpad at a time. Pressure gestures are unavailable without Force Touch.
• New compatibility environments and external trackpads check input by having you briefly place two fingers, then lift all fingers. Connected actions remain inactive during validation.
• Added Fast / Default / Relaxed keyboard timing presets and As recorded / A little extra / More extra time recorded-gesture presets. Detailed timing controls remain available.
• Added the current version and Check for Updates in settings. GitHub releases are queried only when you press the button; updates are not installed automatically.
• Added Preview Diagnostics → Copy Diagnostics for a limited set of technical details. Rules, input history, and personal file paths are excluded. Nothing is sent automatically.
• Updated the Korean and English installation, usage, and privacy guides.

Installation and compatibility

1. Download and unzip the archive.
2. Quit Flicklane and move the new Flicklane.app to Applications.
3. Open the app and complete permission prompts and the input check.

Existing rules and recorded gestures retain their storage location. If a permission is allowed but not detected, remove the old Flicklane entry in System Settings and add the current app from Applications again.

Existing local hardware validation covers Apple silicon on macOS builds 25F84 and 25G83. Expanded targets use on-device input checks. This does not certify every Intel or Apple silicon model or trackpad generation. See the compatibility table.

Automated release checks inspect artifacts on macOS 14 Apple silicon and macOS 15/26 Apple silicon and Intel. They do not validate gestures, trackpad generations, permissions, or Bluetooth connections.

This is the first public beta of Flicklane. Download Flicklane-0.1.0-19-arm64.zip and SHA256SUMS from Assets below. Developer ID signing, Apple notarization, ticket validation, and Gatekeeper checks have passed.

Flicklane connects your Mac’s trackpad gestures and keyboard input to the actions you choose.

• Record custom trackpad gestures and adjust timing tolerance between touches and for movement duration.
• Set the maximum interval for keyboard sequences from 0.01 to 5 seconds, or use a key combination.
• Arrange windows in halves, quarters, or the full desktop area with a key and pointer movement.
• Chain actions and configure rules for specific apps.
• Choose Korean, English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, or the system language.
• Access ♥ Support, ⚙ Settings, and ⏻ Quit from the menu bar. Settings opens the main app window.

The app version is 0.1.0, build 19. It targets the built-in trackpad on Apple silicon Macs. Contact input is enabled only on macOS builds 25F84 and 25G83. Intel Macs and external Magic Trackpads are not supported. This is an early beta; validation on other Mac models is still in progress.

Updating from a development build may require granting Input Monitoring and Accessibility permission again. Your rules and recorded gestures are preserved.

Validation: 980 automated tests, 19 release-workflow tests, and resource checks for all five languages passed. The app extracted from the final ZIP also passed signature, notarization-ticket, and Gatekeeper checks. These checks do not establish physical-gesture behavior on every Mac.
