Meet the Mascots
Virtual Handheld has a handful of mascot characters used for promotional materials:
The original concept for DJ Frogg was created by Rollthered for the first official Virtual Handheld commercial.

The 3D model used for the commercial was originally created by Polygonal Mind for the 100Avatars project. The model was uploaded to VRChat and became a default public avatar until the legacy public avatars were deprecated.
Artist Neogalaxz would be commissioned to create promotional artwork for Virtual Handheld, upgrading DJ Frogg's look to sport orange hair, a black jacket, a skull T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses. His appearance was partially inspired by 90's platforming mascot Gex the Gecko.
The little sister to DJ Frogg, DJ Froglin first appeared publicly at Virtual Market 2025 Winter. She would appear in Kowloon Empire - Void Alley (Chaos) and Hypothetical Garden Exoplant -Autumn- (Fruit of Imagination) where she would appear posed with the Virtual Handheld prop by Rycia.
Her model uses the Froglin avatar base, but with the hair and coat recolored to match her older brother. The avatar model was used in collaboration with it's creator. A public sample avatar that can be used for testing Virtual Handheld's OSC functionality can be found here.
A not yet implemented tutorial character, Handy Helda made her first appearance as a cameo in the Virtual Market 2025 Winter Kowloon Empire - Void Alley (Chaos) Froglin x Virtual Handheld exhibition. She can be seen in the logo for the Virtual Handheld wiki!
The pixel handheld and logo design she's based on was made with help from Nestorboy.
While not technically a VH mascot, the developer's own fursona has been used for VH promotional posters seen in some VRChat worlds.
