Boston Consulting Group (BCG X) GenAI Job Simulation on Forage
What i did in this program:
- Extracted key financial data from the 10-K filings of Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla from the SEC's EDGAR database.
- Cleaned and structured the data for further analysis.
- Engineered new financial metrics (revenue growth, profit margin, debt-to-asset ratio, cash flow margin, etc.) to enrich the dataset with actionable insights.
- Performed exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify financial trends, highlight anomalies, and compare year-over-year financial performance across companies.
- Exported the enhanced dataset for chatbot integration
- Developed a prototype financial chatbot by implementing a rule-based query response system using Python
- Validated the chatbot responses to ensure clarity, accuracy, and relevance in delivering financial insights and cross-company comparisons.
