  • Flatpak (Gifkino.flatpak) — carries its own GTK and the ffmpeg,
    ffprobe and gifsicle programs the editor drives, so it runs anywhere
    flatpak does, Ubuntu 22.04 included. Install with
    flatpak install --bundle Gifkino.flatpak.
  • AppImage (Gifkino-x86_64.AppImage) — built against glibc 2.39,
    so it needs Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13, Fedora 40 or newer. Bundles the
    same helper programs. chmod +x it and run it.
