Claude Code fails to load

Steps to reproduce:

1. Restart Zed to apply update
2. Click on the try "Claude Code" button at the top of the UI

Expected Behavior:
The Claude Code agent starts in the Agent Panel

Actual Behavior:
An error appears in the agent panel.

The error seems to only appear when opening Zed from the GUI, starting zed from the CLI does correctly load Claude Code

I have this issue as well. This is the ACP: Claude Code log. The error response is for the session/new call's response.

Moreover, it tries to install Claude Code even if I had one installed:

@skoch13 That's expected behavior--we need to install our own claude-code-acp adapter, which depends on the Claude Code SDK, which bundles its own Claude Code CLI, so we can't use the one on your system.

@cole-miller got it. While watching the demo, I was under the impression that Zed only installs it when I don't have one installed system-wide.

I have the same issue, installed new version of zed and it did show the same error. Any worksarounds for this?
