Release list
TES64 1.0.0
TES64 1.0.0.
You need your own Super Mario 64 (US) ROM (the installer asks for it; nothing from the game is in this download), plus SKSE64 and Address Library for SKSE Plugins. SkyUI is optional, for the settings menu. Install by running TES64-Setup.exe, then start Skyrim with skse64_loader.exe and press F10.
Changes since 0.10.5
- Stealth meter: back, in SM64 style. A wooden plank at the bottom centre with an eye that squints when you're hidden and turns yellow, then red, as you're noticed. It fades in when Mario crouches or crawls and out when he stands. Skyrim's own meter is hidden.
- Camera: the third-person camera can zoom much closer behind Mario, for tight interiors (
fMinCameraZoominTES64.ini). - Sliding: Mario starts sliding at 70 degrees (was 55), so steep terrain is easier to traverse.
- Stomps: a larger and taller landing zone on enemies' heads.
- Fix: after Mario's first jump you could no longer Wait, Sleep or fast travel ("can't while in the air").
Developed on Skyrim 1.7.104.
TES64 0.10.5
TES64 0.10.5.
Changes since 0.10.4
- HUD: Mario's SM64 HUD fades out over loading screens, door transitions and the menus that cover the game (inventory, magic, map, journal, stats, containers, barter, books and so on), and fades back in.
- Jumping: Skyrim's own Jump handler is held back while Mario is out, in case it was the source of the "can't do that" sound.
Developed on Skyrim 1.7.104. Pre-1.0: expect rough edges.
TES64 0.10.4
TES64 0.10.4.
Changes since 0.10.3
- Sitting and furniture: Mario's pelvis goes where the player's pelvis is, so he sits on the bench or chair instead of sinking below it (Bjorlam's cart outside Whiterun).
- Spells: Flames and Sparks follow the crosshair for the whole cast, not just the moment they start, so they no longer fire into the ground when you look around.
- Pad A: no more Skyrim "can't do that" sound when A is Mario's jump.
- Dialogue: Mario can't run, jump or punch while a conversation is open.
- Coins are cleared when Mario dies (0.10.3).
Developed on Skyrim 1.7.104. Pre-1.0: expect rough edges.
TES64 0.10.3
TES64 0.10.3.

Changes since 0.10.2
- Coins: gold lying around from the fallen is cleared when Mario dies, so it no longer stays where it fell after he respawns. Uncollected gold goes back into the bodies it came from.
Developed on Skyrim 1.7.104. Pre-1.0: expect rough edges.
TES64 0.10.2
TES64 0.10.2.
Changes since 0.10.1
- Compass: Skyrim's own N E S W letters no longer show through Mario's; its location and quest icons stay.
- Sprint stays unbound while Mario is out (0.10.1), stars only for journal quests, the stealth eye bar is hidden, crouching counts as sneaking.
Tested on Skyrim 1.7.104. Pre-1.0: expect rough edges.
TES64 0.10.1
TES64 0.10.1: a fix release on top of 0.10.0.
Changes since 0.10.0
- Sprint is unbound while Mario is out (keyboard and pad) and restored when you switch back, so LB no longer starts Skyrim's sprint, its camera shake or its FOV zoom-out. The earlier safeguards (no stamina drain, sprint events held back, FOV held) stay as a backstop.
- Stars only for journal quests: background quests no longer earn a Power Star, and the star counter agrees.
- The stealth meter's eye bar is hidden as Mario; the Hidden / Detected text stays.
- Crouching or crawling counts as sneaking.
Tested on Skyrim 1.7.104. Pre-1.0: expect rough edges.
TES64 0.10.0
TES64 0.10.0: Super Mario 64's Mario in Skyrim Special / Anniversary Edition.
You need your own Super Mario 64 (US) ROM. Nothing from the game is in this download; the installer asks for the ROM. You also need SKSE64 and Address Library for SKSE Plugins (see the README). SkyUI is optional, for the settings menu.
Install: run TES64-Setup.exe, then start Skyrim with skse64_loader.exe and press F10. Upgrading from 0.9.0 is just running the new installer.
New since 0.9.0
- SkyUI settings page ("TES64 - Mario" in Mod Configuration), no MCM Helper needed.
- SM64 combat music that follows the fight (boss theme, Bowser's theme against dragons), with a toggle.
- Bowser screen wipe and laugh when Mario dies, after his death animation.
- Camera lift in combat, and spells and arrows now fly to the crosshair point.
- Only power attacks stagger Mario; arrows, spells and light blows no longer stunlock him.
- No sprint as Mario (LB no longer drains stamina), and crouching or crawling counts as sneaking.
- Door fixes: leaving Whiterun's gate and other short door hops no longer leaves Mario out of bounds; phantom walls from open gates (Solitude) are gone; Mario's ground is checked and healed on arrival.
- SM64's dialogue font is built from your ROM at install.
Tested on Skyrim 1.7.104. Pre-1.0: expect rough edges (killmoves are still unverified in-game).
TES64-0.10.0.zip has the same installer plus the loose files for a manual install.
