ZNet Sink v0.0.1

ZNet Sink is a cross-platform desktop proxy client powered by Zero. It brings configurations, subscriptions, nodes, routing, and system network controls into one application, with a simple interface for everyday connections and a professional interface for detailed control and diagnostics.

Capabilities

Everyday connections

Connect or disconnect from the overview and inspect the active configuration, kernel status, and live traffic. Simple mode focuses on everyday controls; professional mode exposes policy groups, logs, and diagnostic tools. Both modes share the same runtime state, and switching the interface does not change network capture settings.

Configurations, subscriptions, and nodes

Import, export, and switch between proxy configurations. Synchronize remote subscriptions and view subscription usage. Combine node selection, rule sets, and routing policies to choose the appropriate outbound for each destination. Configurations, subscriptions, and rule sets are stored locally.

System proxy, TUN, and bypass rules

Use the system proxy for applications that honor proxy settings, or TUN for system traffic capture. A unified bypass policy manages local-network, domain, and IP/CIDR exceptions across system proxy settings, TUN exclusions, and kernel routing. Manual TUN recovery and cleanup controls read back the resulting runtime state before reporting completion.

DNS and policy controls

Choose system DNS, real-address DNS, or Fake-IP and configure DNS interception alongside TUN. Professional mode provides outbound group selection and probes, with available features determined by kernel capabilities. Unified bypass requires a Zero kernel advertising route_bypass_v1.

Observability and kernel management

View connection status, upload and download rates, cumulative traffic, application logs, and kernel logs. Status and diagnostic views distinguish confirmed operation, pending confirmation, and errors. Kernel management provides version selection, verified downloads, and runtime controls from the desktop interface.

Install the package for your platform, configure the Zero kernel, import a proxy configuration or add a subscription, and select a configuration and node. Enable system proxy or TUN as needed. Signature files, updater archives, and latest.json are update verification assets, not standalone installers.

Installation acceptance waiver

Builds, automated checks, published artifact SHA-256 checks, and updater signature verification passed for all four platform targets. The project owner explicitly waived installed end-to-end acceptance for this v0.0.1 release. Installation acceptance remains pending on Windows x86_64, macOS Intel, macOS Apple Silicon, and Linux x86_64; builds, automated tests, signatures, and artifact integrity checks are not waived.

The pending scope includes:

  • Disabled kernel DNS, real-address DNS, and Fake-IP combined with no capture, system proxy, TUN, or both, including IPv4 and dual-stack connectivity.
  • First installation, import and connection, configuration and node switching, DNS and capture-mode changes, and restart recovery.
  • Kernel and client version installation success, failure, and interrupted-operation recovery.
  • Normal-exit cleanup, forced-exit recovery, invalid-configuration and offline recovery, and agreement between diagnostics and actual system state.
  • Configuration and subscription recovery across storage failures, system proxy failures, and process interruption.

These acceptance records remain pending. Subsequent stable releases remain subject to the normal installation acceptance requirements.
