New feature

• Use Windows system colors — third color option in Preferences → Tools → Podcasts; the panel follows the OS light/dark theme (via GetSysColor) independently of foobar2000's own UI theme. Especially useful when using Columns UI skins that have their own color scheme.

v1.5 - Resume/save fix (portable installs) + dark-mode white frame

Fixes

• Subscriptions now persist across restarts. The library is now stored next to foobar2000's own configuration using the real profile path (core_api::get_profile_path()), so it also works for portable installs. Previously the path was hard-coded to %APPDATA%\foobar2000-v2, which does not exist in portable mode - so the file write failed silently and imported subscriptions were lost on the next launch.
• No more white frame in dark mode. The panel now paints its own background with the active theme (or custom) background colour, so the tree control no longer shows a white border around it when foobar2000 is in dark mode.

Install

Download foo_podcast.fb2k-component below, then in foobar2000: Preferences > Components > Install..., pick the file and restart.

Standard installs keep using the same file location, so existing libraries are unaffected.

v1.4 - Dark mode border fix, more reliable OPML import

What's new

• Fixed a visual bug where the Podcasts panel kept a light/white border around its tree view when "Use custom colors" was set to a dark background, instead of a matching dark border.
• OPML import is now more resilient: if it gets interrupted partway through (Abort, or foobar2000 closing while a large OPML file is still being fetched), the feeds that were already downloaded are kept and saved instead of being silently discarded.

v1.3 - Multi-select playlist, real episode titles, freeze fix

What's new

• New checkboxes in the episode tree: tick several episodes and use the right-click command "Add checked episodes to "Podcasty" playlist" to send them all to one shared playlist, instead of having to play them one at a time.
• Double-clicking a podcast channel now sends all of its episodes to a playlist named after that channel and starts playing the first one, instead of creating a separate playlist per episode (this also fixes the slowdown/freeze some users saw when playing large feeds).
• Playlist items now show the real episode title from the podcast feed instead of a filename guessed from the stream URL.
• Checked episodes show a "[+]" marker so the selection is clearly visible even with custom panel colors.

• Playing an episode now creates a new playlist named after the episode and plays it there, instead of appending to whatever playlist you currently have open.

What's new

• The Podcasts panel can now follow foobar2000's UI colors automatically, or use custom background/text colors of your choice.
• New Preferences page: Preferences > Tools > Podcasts — choose "Follow foobar2000 theme" (default) or "Use custom colors" with color pickers.
• Color changes apply live to any open Podcasts panel, no restart needed.
