Codex Finch 0.6.1

A native macOS menu bar companion for today's Codex usage and project-grouped conversations.

  • Today's recorded tokens come first; compact account quota rows retain snapshot and reset times.
  • Conversation search is removed. Project grouping, running/waiting filters and conversation links remain; the recent-conversation summary is also clickable.
  • Settings moves to the footer, with clearer dark/light typography and status colors.
  • Includes native launch-at-login settings, project/model usage breakdown, 7/30-day observed history, monitoring for 24/50/100 recent main conversations, sanitized diagnostics and explicit update checks introduced in 0.6.
  • No added background polling, animation or runtime dependency.

下载 Codex-Finch-0.6.1-macOS-arm64.zip，解压后将 Codex Finch.app 放入“应用程序”，替换旧版。需要 macOS 14+、Apple Silicon，以及本机 Codex 会话记录。菜单栏指标可设置为今日 token、剩余额度、活跃会话或仅图标。

更新后可在底部设置入口开启“登录后自动启动”。今日总量包含本机已记录的子智能体和归档会话；历史用量是已观测下限，不能作为云端账单。

Validation and preview limits

Seven suites pass 129 assertions. Native builds, ad-hoc signatures, synthetic dark/light renders and navigation/state-filter interactions were verified. Real conversation navigation was previously confirmed by the user.

This is an ad-hoc-signed, unnotarized preview. Intel distribution is untested. Notification-banner delivery remains unverified, and official per-thread billing is not integrated. The source archive and SHA256SUMS accompany the app archive. Documentation and screenshots are in the repository.

First public preview of Codex Finch, a native macOS menu bar companion for Codex.

  • Configurable menu bar: today's recorded local tokens, account quota snapshot, active session count, or icon only.
  • Project-grouped sessions with Codex conversation links.
  • Explicit activity states and optional native macOS notifications.
  • File-event-driven incremental collection and a persistent daily index, without network requests or model calls by Finch.
  • English/Chinese documentation, synthetic screenshots, and an MIT code license.

Install: Download Codex-Finch-0.5.0-macOS-arm64.zip, unzip it, and drag Codex Finch.app to Applications. Requires macOS 14+ and local Codex session data. This Apple Silicon build is ad-hoc signed and unnotarized; use the macOS approval flow described in the README. SHA256SUMS.txt contains archive checksums.

Validation: 102 assertions passed; release build and signature verified. Native dark/light views rendered from synthetic records. Local warm-cache sample with panel closed: about 0.57% of one CPU core and RSS 31–33 MiB over 30 seconds. This is a sample, not a performance guarantee.

Preview limits: local Codex metadata/log formats can change; quota is an observed account snapshot, and tokens are best-effort recorded local usage. Explicit waiting detection has partial coverage. Visible conversation-link and notification-delivery/click end-to-end checks remain unverified.
