ThinkReader 0.8.4

  • Selection T uses official keyed APIs only: Baidu, Youdao Zhiyun, DeepL API Free, and Tencent Cloud TMT.
  • Unofficial Google, Bing and MyMemory web endpoints are removed. Saved unofficial providers remap to Baidu.
  • Apply for a free key in Settings → Agent defaults → Selection translation API, then enter APP ID / secret as required.
  • Clue editor save/cancel uses check and close icons.

Validation

Tested implementation commit: 2fdf14486aec1955ce88ed66850e142d7d3d82ff (Windows x64).

  • build/packaging-venv/Scripts/python.exe app/packaging/build_release.py --target win — passed frontend/backend build, packaged resource hash checks and frozen MCP UTF-8 stdio. Exact unpacked candidate: build/release/ThinkReader-0.8.4-win-37163e50. Built with Node.js 22.14.0.
  • build/packaging-venv/Scripts/python.exe app/packaging/smoke_release.py --unpacked build/release/ThinkReader-0.8.4-win-37163e50 — passed frozen backend startup, PDF Range, annotation persistence/conflicts, output/image contexts, overwrite protection, restart and RAW integrity.
