What's New

Pending Message Queue

You can now queue a message while agents are responding — no more waiting for the current dispatch to finish before typing your next question.

How it works:

  • Enter while an agent is responding → queues your message (displayed with ⏳ at the top of the viewport)
  • Auto-submit → queued message is automatically sent after the current agent dispatch completes (Done, Error, or ESC cancel)
  • ↑ to undo → press Up arrow to pull the pending message back into the input area for editing
  • Queue full → Enter falls back to inserting a newline (current behavior), queue limit is 1 message

Addressing required: Pending messages must include @name, @all, or #name targeting — messages without explicit addressing are rejected with a hint, since LastRespondent can drift during multi-agent serial execution and A2A routing.

Visual feedback:

  • Pending area appears at the top of the viewport with a ┄ Pending (N) ┄ header
  • Each pending message shows ⏳ prefix with colored routing dots matching the target agent(s)
  • Long messages are truncated to a single line with …
  • Pending area is hidden when approval overlay or completion popup is active
