BotDrop v0.1.0 — Initial Open Source Release

BotDrop is an Android app that turns your phone into a self-hosted AI chatbot gateway, connecting messaging platforms (Telegram, Discord) to AI backends.

Features

  • Guided setup flow — configure bot tokens and channels through an in-app wizard
  • Dashboard — monitor gateway status, uptime, and connected channels
  • Start/Stop/Restart — control the gateway directly from the dashboard
  • Telegram & Discord — supported messaging platforms
  • SSH access — built-in terminal and SSH server for advanced configuration
  • Foreground service — keeps the gateway running with a persistent notification

Notes

  • This release uses com.termux as the package name for bootstrap compatibility
  • Built for arm64-v8a architecture (universal APK)
  • Based on the Termux terminal emulator framework

What's Next

  • Bootstrap rebuild with app.botdrop prefix for full package name migration
  • Additional messaging platform support
  • Performance improvements
