BotDrop v0.2.0 — Package Name Migration

What's New

  • Package name migrated to app.botdrop — the app now runs under its own identity instead of com.termux
  • Bootstrap rebuilt from source — all binaries compiled with /data/data/app.botdrop/ prefix
  • minSdkVersion raised to 24 (Android 7.0 Nougat)

Security Fixes (from v0.1.0)

  • SSH password is now randomly generated at install (no longer hardcoded)
  • Gateway auth token is now randomly generated via UUID
  • Old Termux issue templates removed

Code Quality (from v0.1.0)

  • Fixed potential deadlock in command execution (redirectErrorStream)
  • Replaced hardcoded color values with resource references
  • Updated documentation (SECURITY.md, LICENSE.md, design.md)

Important Notes

  • This is a new app identity — you must uninstall any previous BotDrop/Termux app before installing
  • targetSdkVersion remains at 28 (required for binary execution in app data directory)
  • Bootstrap is larger than v0.1.0 (~157MB APK) — optimization planned for next release
  • Built for arm64-v8a architecture (universal APK)
