I'm trying to run npx hardhat node-zksync and npx hardhat test(with forked network), but it consistently fails to download the anvil-zksync binary both.
Despite the binary being available and downloadable via chrome, the plugin throws a 302 error during download.

$ npx hardhat node-zksync

Error in plugin @matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-node: Error downloading binary from URL https://github.com/matter-labs/anvil-zksync/releases/download/v0.6.9/anvil-zksync-v0.6.9-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.gz: Failed to download https://github.com/matter-labs/anvil-zksync/releases/download/v0.6.9/anvil-zksync-v0.6.9-aarch64-apple-darwin.tar.gz - 302 received. 

For now, I’ve temporarily worked around the issue by explicitly passing the local binary path using the zksyncAnvil option, so it’s not an urgent blocker at the moment. But it would still be great if you could take a look and confirm.

I'm unable to replicate the issue, running also on a MacOS system:

Just to try something different, can you try installing just @matterlabs/hardhat-zksync, which is the umbrella package (instead of the hardhat-zksync-node package) and importing it on your hardhat.config.ts file? It uses the same version of the node package

When I explicitly use hardhat-zksync in my hardhat.config.ts, I encounter a different GitHub 302 redirect error.

Error in plugin @matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-solc: Failed to download https://github.com/matter-labs/era-compiler-solidity/releases/download/1.5.15/zksolc-macosx-arm64-v1.5.15 - 302 received. 

My matterlabs package version is >>

  "@matterlabs/hardhat-zksync": "^1.6.2",
  "@matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-node": "^1.5.2",
  "@matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-solc": "1.5.0",

I think that anything attempting to download from that GitHub link is receiving a 302 redirect error.

Try uninstalling @matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-node and @matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-solc and keep only @matterlabs/hardhat-zksync. Remove your node_modules and install all dependencies again. Let me know if that works.

I have a project with only "@matterlabs/hardhat-zksync": "^1.6.2" and it works as expected.

Looks like one of the packages was still referencing a version of hardhat-zksync-solc that had a bug. Please try updating to the latest versions.

@matterlabs/hardhat-zksync-node v1.5.3 (if you're using this plugin independently.
