Description

This is the first stable release of esp_simd, a high-level C library that wraps the ESP32-S3’s custom SIMD instructions in a safe, easy-to-use API.

With this release you get:

🚀 High-performance vector math with SIMD acceleration (up to 30× faster)

🧩 Safe, type-checked data structures with alignment guarantees

🛠️ Support for int8, int16, int32, and float32 data types

📊 Benchmarked performance improvements across add, sub, mul, dot product, sum, and bitwise operations

📦 Ready for use in ESP-DF and Arduino projects

This version also includes a full accelerometer feature extraction example (mean, mean power, and standard deviation) for downstream ML classification.
