ButtonBox v2.14 Record Audio

This release adds microphone recording for custom audio buttons.

• Add Audio now offers both Import and Record.
• Recording flow supports start/stop, preview, re-record, title/category selection, and save.
• Recordings are saved as app-private .m4a audio and are included in .buttonpack.zip exports.
• Dialog and menu Compose state now uses remember, making pack/category/edit dialogs stable across recomposition.
• README and ROADMAP now describe the recording workflow and tested status.

Verified

• Built both bundled and empty debug APKs with Gradle.
• On Android Emulator API 35: created a clean pack, recorded audio, previewed it, saved it, played it, exported the pack, cleared app data, re-imported the exported pack, and played the recorded button again.

What's new

• Import now opens a preview before writing anything.
• Preview shows pack name, author, schema version, category count, button count, audio/video count, and same-id conflicts.
• Same-id imports can Replace the existing pack or Import Copy to keep both. Built-in conflicts guide users toward importing a copy.
• Import validation catches missing pack.json, unsupported schema versions, unsupported media types, empty packs, and missing media files before committing data.

How to use

1. Install bundled APK if you want the three packs immediately, or empty APK if you want a clean app.
2. To add the standalone meme pack, download myinstants-meme-pack.buttonpack.zip to the device.
3. Open ButtonBox, tap the top-right pack actions menu, choose Import, select the zip, review the preview, then choose Import, Replace, or Import Copy.

Verification

• Built both APK flavors with assembleBundledDebug and assembleEmptyDebug.
• Installed empty APK on emulator, imported myinstants-meme-pack.buttonpack.zip, preview showed 4 categories and 37 buttons.
• Confirmed imported pack displays 37 total / 6 shown and plays 电棍.
• Re-imported the same zip; conflict preview showed Import Copy and Replace.
• Import Copy created MyInstants Meme Pack Copy with 37 buttons.
• Exported the copy, pulled the exported zip back, and verified pack.json has 4 categories, 37 buttons, 37 media files, and no excluded Hakimi entries.

ButtonBox v2.8 App Bar Pack Menu

Moves the pack actions overflow menu from the pack chip row to the top app bar, matching Android UI expectations and removing the awkward second-row floating dots. The pack row now contains only pack tabs and New Pack, with status notices rendered separately below the pack row. Verified with assembleDebug and emulator install/run: pack row layout, top-right pack actions icon, and Import/Export/Delete Pack menu contents.

ButtonBox v2.7 Editor UI Polish

Reworks the main editor layout: New Pack now uses the same chip style as pack tabs, Add Category appears at the end of category chips, Add Audio appears as the last card in the shown button list, and Import/Export/Delete Pack are tucked into a secondary pack actions menu. Built-in Aqua/Mea packs can now accept app-private custom categories and imported audio while bundled APK assets stay read-only. Built-in seeded refresh now preserves app-private user-added media. Delete Pack still uses confirmation. Verified with assembleDebug and emulator install/run: built-in category creation, Add Audio card in built-in pack, file picker import of mp3, restart persistence, and secondary menu contents.
