1.4 - Linux pattern scan and high-FPS sprint fix
DLL update for Dark Souls III 1.15.2.
- The pattern scan no longer requires a Windows heap address, so the FPS cap applies again under Proton and on Steam Deck. If another mod moves the flipper pointer, the constructor pattern still finds it.
- Sprinting into a wall above about 88 FPS no longer latches the player at half speed. The check follows the game's own frame time, so it holds up toward 240 FPS and through frame-time spikes. Set
FixSprintSlowdown = 0to restore the old behavior. - Borderless mode is unchanged. It applies when the game is in windowed mode. Fullscreen mode is not modified by
EnableBorderless.
Install D3DCompiler_43.dll and FPSconfig.ini next to DarkSoulsIII.exe. On Linux or Steam Deck, keep this launch option:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES="D3DCompiler_43.dll=n" %command%
If you already have an FPSconfig.ini, keep your fps value and add:
FixSprintSlowdown = 1
