HYPR demoscene radio — v0.1.1
Bugfix release. If v0.1 stopped connecting and your log shows TLS certificate
errors, this is the fix. Nothing else about the app changes.
What was wrong
The app stopped connecting after hypr.website renewed its
TLS certificate. The certificate was fine — the clock was not.
The Miyoo Mini Plus has no battery-backed clock, so it starts from whatever time
was saved when it was last switched off. A device that sat unused for a few weeks
booted with a date weeks in the past: late enough to look like a genuine date, so
the app accepted it and never corrected it. A certificate issued after that
stale date reads as "not yet valid", so every connection failed on the date check
and no amount of retrying could help.
This was latent for as long as the old certificate had been issued longer ago
than any device was stale. Renewal exposed it.
The fix
The clock is now checked against the network on every launch rather than only
when it reads 1970, and it is only ever moved forward, never back — a network
time source that can only push you into the future can't be used to revive an
expired certificate.
Install
- Download
hypr-demoscene-radio-v0.1.1.zipand unzip it. - Copy the
Appfolder onto your SD card, merging with/mnt/SDCARD/App.
Let it overwriteApp/Hypr. - Boot the device and open HYPR from the Apps menu.
Upgrading overwrites App/Hypr/hypr.conf, so keep a copy if you edited it.
A device stuck on v0.1 recovers on the first launch of this version.
