Quran Caption v3.5.71

This update adds Quran Universal Audio integration, new styling options, track reordering, H.265 export, Indonesian localization, and several workflow improvements.

Quran Universal Audio integration (by @Hetchy)

  • Added QUA integration
    Quran Caption now integrates with Quran Universal Audio by @Hetchy.

    May Allah greatly reward @Hetchy for his incredible work.

  • This replaces the old mp3quran recitation import workflow.

  • You now have access to a much larger and better reciter library.

  • Many recitations already include verified subtitles with WBW timestamps.

  • You can now import only a selected verse range instead of importing the full surah.

Localization

  • Added Indonesian language support to the local interface translations.

Export

  • Added H.265 video codec option

    This can produce smaller video files, but export will be slower.

    It can be enabled in Advanced Export Settings.

  • Added fallback to PNG when TGA temporary files cause disk space issues

    This fixes cases where the OS reported “not enough disk space” even when enough space was available.

Timeline

  • Added track reordering

    You can now move tracks up or down depending on your preferred timeline organization.

Video clips

  • Added clip transition styles

    Available transition types include:

    • fade to black
    • crossfade

Word-by-Word

  • Added new WBW style: reveal word styles on recitation

    This allows word styles to appear progressively as the words are being recited.

Styles

  • Added a second surah calligraphy style option

    This new calligraphy style does not include the “Surah” prefix.

  • Added support for explicit surah translations in surah name styles

    Example placeholders:

    • <translation-fr>
    • <translation-zh-hant>

  • Added the ability to import a custom ayah container image

  • Fixed an issue where no translation could be selected by default in the Styles → Translation dropdown

    The first translation is now selected automatically when needed.

AI settings

  • Changed the default Gemini model in predefined AI endpoint settings to 3.1-flash-lite.

Translations

  • Fixed RTL direction support in the translation word selector.

UI

  • Improved the donation/support banner.

  • Improved red alert contrast in themes.
