Subtitles

• Added a minimum words option when splitting subtitles

  Subtitle splitting can now respect both a minimum and maximum number of words per segment, helping avoid very short subtitles with only one or two words.

Timeline

• Added audio and video clip splitting at the timeline cursor

  Right-click a media clip and choose the split action to cut it exactly at the current cursor position.

  Source offsets are preserved correctly, and the action supports Undo / Redo.

• Added snapping between audio and video tracks

  When moving media clips, they can now snap to clips on the opposite track for easier synchronization.

Word-by-Word Styles

• Added more control over persistent WBW effects

  Individual word styles can now be configured to either remain visible after recitation or disappear once the word has been recited.

Multiple Windows

• Quran Caption can now safely run multiple application windows at the same time.

Export

• YouTube chapter format is now saved globally across projects.

• Added an optional Quran Caption promotional card

  You can add a This video was created with Quran Caption card at the beginning or end of exported videos.

  The card automatically adapts to the video orientation and uses a crossfade transition.

  This option is disabled by default.

• Fixed a rare issue where direct exports could end before the full project duration when the video ended with an empty section.

• Batch backup files can now be imported directly from the homepage import button.

• Fixed batch projects being incorrectly marked as failed even when valid saved subtitle clips already existed.

Arabic Rendering

• Fixed decorative brackets around multiline RTL Arabic text.

  Brackets are now positioned correctly when Arabic subtitles span multiple lines.

• Fixed an issue that could prevent Quran Caption from updating correctly.

• Reworked the AI translation trimming prompt

  Translation alignment now uses improved indexed context, locked ranges, and stricter overlap rules.

• The new approach has been benchmarked and provides significantly more reliable trimming results.

Translation Validation

• Improved automatic detection of incorrect fetched translations

  When a partial subtitle incorrectly contains the full verse translation, Quran Caption now detects it and marks it as an AI error.

  This helps surface problematic translations immediately after fetching them.
