FAQ

Is my token safe?

Clonecord uses your Discord token to make API calls directly to Discord's REST API (discord.com/api). Your token is never sent to any external server. All requests go to Discord itself. However, using any Vencord plugin carries inherent risks — only install plugins from sources you trust.

Can I clone only channels without roles?

Yes. In the clone modal, you can toggle each option independently. Uncheck "Roles" and only channels will be cloned.

Can I clone only roles without channels?

Yes. Uncheck "Channels" and only roles will be cloned.

What is the difference between Overwrite and Resume?

  • Overwrite: Deletes all channels, roles, stickers, and soundboard sounds in the target server, then clones everything from the source. Cannot be undone.
  • Resume: Only adds items that don't exist yet in the target server. Nothing is deleted. Safe for interrupted clones.

Why aren't all stickers/sounds being cloned?

Stickers and soundboard sounds are limited by the target server's boost level. New servers start at Level 0 (5 sticker slots, 8 soundboard slots). Items that exceed the limit are skipped with a warning.

Why is Onboarding greyed out?

Onboarding requires both Channels and Roles to be enabled. This is because onboarding references channels and roles that must exist first.

Can I clone a server I don't own?

No. You can only clone from any server, but you can only clone into servers you own (or create a new server).

Does it clone emojis?

Yes — custom emojis are automatically detected from role names, channel names/topics, onboarding prompts, and the guild description, then cloned to the target server.

What happens if I close Discord during a clone?

The clone will be interrupted. You can use Resume mode on the target server to continue where it left off — only missing items will be added.
