expandable skill launcher menu and native live output pane. - Runs now use complete local skill packages, including referenced files,
scripts, assets and profile files, instead of importing onlySKILL.md. - Added Start, Cancel, Clear, copy and timestamped output-file export controls.
- The output view follows streamed Codex output automatically.
Workspace layout
- Pinned the primary split layout to the window origin to prevent a blank area
above the connection search when a tall workspace pane is selected.
GateTree 2.5.2
Terminal fixes
- Improved the embedded SSH terminal toolbar and its Detach action.
- Fixed cursor-key handling for interactive full-screen terminal applications.
- Pass the release version consistently into local and packaged application builds.
- Build bundled dependencies on macOS 26 so the release runs on macOS 26;
this fixes the startup failure in the earlier 2.5.1 package.

Terminal workspace
- Added embedded local terminals that run inside GateTree rather than opening
Terminal.app windows. - The Quick Access Terminal menu creates a new terminal with the selected
Midnight, Paper, or Matrix appearance. - Multiple local terminals can stay open concurrently and are grouped in the
right-hand Open Panes rail, where they can be selected or closed. - SSH terminals can be moved into a separate native window and attached back
to GateTree. Keyboard focus now remains with the selected terminal pane.

- Fixed the workspace-folder picker on a fresh installation when the suggested GateTree folder does not yet exist.
GateTree 2.1.1
Deployment workflow
- Added direct Jira and CX API integration backed by KeePass credentials.
- Added CX readiness validation, per-role approval and deny actions, and queue-manager restart recovery.
- Improved deployment reports with validation/deployment details, version, target IPs and failure context.
- Added Vault configuration, integrated help, updated deployment queue layout and new Sauron/Olympos connections.
GateTree 2.1.0
Ansible deployment queue and Jira reporting
- Added Jira availability checks and deployment lifecycle updates to the configured deployment process.
- Deployment reports now retain validation, Queue Manager events and Ansible deployment output in one HTML report stored in the encrypted workspace.
- Successful Jira deployments upload the report as an attachment and link it from the deployment result comment.
- Queue Logs now presents the combined report and can save it as HTML.
- Improved target extraction so every host name and IP address from Ansible preview output is retained.
GateTree 2.0.0
Encrypted workspace and setup
- Choose a workspace folder on first launch and create a mandatory master password.
- Workspace data is stored in SQLCipher, including Connections, Vault references,
Notes, deployment configuration/history/queue/logs, AI settings, Quick Access,
and the latest bulk validation result. - The chosen folder is remembered. Existing encrypted workspaces require both
gatetree.sqliteand its originalgatetree.sqlite.saltfile. - Plaintext workspace mode is no longer supported.
Configuration export and import
- File → Export Configuration creates a full, versioned plaintext JSON export of
the application database. Protect this file: it contains private configuration,
notes, connection details and operational history. - File → Import Configuration restores that JSON into an unlocked encrypted
workspace. An encrypted backup is created before replacement; failed imports
roll back. Column order differences between database versions are supported. - Fresh setup: choose an empty folder → set a master password → import JSON.
- Exports exclude the master password, external KeePass databases and passwords,
external files/tools, and macOS UI preferences. Reconnect KeePass and adjust
machine-specific paths and permissions when restoring on another Mac.
Important upgrade information
- Legacy
Workspace.gatetreefiles are not imported automatically and are not
accepted by the JSON importer. Keep the previous app and original workspace
backup if you do not yet have a compatible JSON export. - An older 1.x SQL database alone may not contain its Connections and Vaults:
those versions also used the legacy workspace file. Do not discard that file. - Fully migrated SQLCipher workspaces can be opened directly by selecting their
containing folder. Quit GateTree before moving a complete workspace folder.
Verification
- Tested a real JSON export through all 17 exported tables, including encrypted
database reopening, key rejection/rekey, and rollback checks. - Graphically verified fresh setup, folder-picker cancellation, JSON import,
restart, folder retention, unlock, Connections, Notes, Vaults and Quick Access. - Live SSH/RDP sessions and external deployment execution are not covered by
this storage/setup test.
GateTree 1.0.4

- Added an encrypted, local AI Skills catalog that discovers
SKILL.mdfiles
from configured Skill Library folders without changing the source skills. - Added AI configuration storage for skill libraries and general typed values.
Deployment workspace
- Surface in-progress Setup validation jobs in the activity indicator, with
their role, target sites and Ansible job ID.
GateTree 1.0.3
Deployment workspace
- Added site-specific
roles: allexpansion from the configured Ansible inventory'sroles.yaml. - Added persistent SQLCipher Setup configuration history with filtering, deletion, role previews and copyable assembled payloads.
- Moved Notes and note folders into SQLCipher SQLite with a one-time migration from legacy encrypted workspaces.
GateTree 1.0.1
Deployment workspace
- Added encrypted SQLite persistence for deployment configuration, endpoints,
processes, requests, queue rows and operational logs. - Added queue grouping, explicit validation approval, OLAM job tracking and

- Saved deployments can enter the Queue only after successful validation.
- Added multi-site target selection, target scrolling and select/deselect all.
Workspace
- The deployment navigation now uses Setup and Queue; the separate Logs page
was removed because Queue owns deployment history and output.
GateTree v2.9.0

AI workspace
- Added an encrypted, local AI Skills catalog that discovers
SKILL.mdfiles
from configured Skill Library folders without changing the source skills. - Added AI configuration storage for skill libraries and general typed values.
Deployment workspace
- Surface in-progress Setup validation jobs in the activity indicator, with
their role, target sites and Ansible job ID.
GateTree 1.0.3
Deployment workspace
- Added site-specific
roles: allexpansion from the configured Ansible inventory'sroles.yaml. - Added persistent SQLCipher Setup configuration history with filtering, deletion, role previews and copyable assembled payloads.
- Moved Notes and note folders into SQLCipher SQLite with a one-time migration from legacy encrypted workspaces.
GateTree 1.0.1
Deployment workspace
- Added encrypted SQLite persistence for deployment configuration, endpoints,
processes, requests, queue rows and operational logs. - Added queue grouping, explicit validation approval, OLAM job tracking and
template ID/name verification before Ansible jobs are launched. - Improved Setup plan loading, Jira/CX tracking, queue output export and
compact operational logs.
GateTree 1.0.0
Deployment queue
- Added a persistent Queue with per-deployment IDs, start/stop controls,
workflow status and Ansible job tracking. - Added Queue Manager controls and status polling for active Ansible jobs.
- Queue detail now retains Queue Manager events and raw Ansible output.
- Export a deployment's validation, events and Ansible output as one ZIP archive.
Deployment validation
- Added Ansible pre-validation with a compact deployment-preview table.
- Saved deployments can enter the Queue only after successful validation.
- Added multi-site target selection, target scrolling and select/deselect all.
Workspace
- The deployment navigation now uses Setup and Queue; the separate Logs page
was removed because Queue owns deployment history and output.
GateTree v2.8.3
GateTree 2.8.0

active VPN at a glance:Cfor Cisco Secure andGfor GlobalProtect. - The indicator refreshes every 10 seconds, remains read-only, and warns if
both VPNs appear active.
Sidebar and Quick Access polish
- Aligned the AI Skills and Help root rows with the rest of the sidebar.
- Simplified the Details header, Help page, and connection search label.
- Compacted the Quick Access bar so more bookmarks fit without a visible
scrollbar.
GateTree 2.7.1

scripts, assets and profile files, instead of importing onlySKILL.md. - Added Start, Cancel, Clear, copy and timestamped output-file export controls.
- The output view follows streamed Codex output automatically.
Workspace layout
- Pinned the primary split layout to the window origin to prevent a blank area
above the connection search when a tall workspace pane is selected.

this fixes the startup failure in the earlier 2.5.1 package.
GateTree 2.5.0
Terminal workspace
- Added embedded local terminals that run inside GateTree rather than opening
Terminal.app windows. - The Quick Access Terminal menu creates a new terminal with the selected
Midnight, Paper, or Matrix appearance. - Multiple local terminals can stay open concurrently and are grouped in the
right-hand Open Panes rail, where they can be selected or closed. - SSH terminals can be moved into a separate native window and attached back
to GateTree. Keyboard focus now remains with the selected terminal pane.
GateTree 2.1.3
