Caution
SHU compatibility firmware limits
Do not use SHU compatible with these VCU versions or newer:
- F3 VCU 1.6.3
- G3 VCU 1.6.3
- ZT3 VCU 1.5.9
- GT3 VCU 1.7.2 - for reference only: x3utils does not support SHU compatible on GT3 at any version
Check the installed VCU firmware version before continuing. v1.8.1 displays this warning and requires a five-second delay and explicit confirmation before any SHU dump or hardware action.
The original firmware is backed up first; if this was already used on newer firmware, restore that backup.
This hotfix adds an unavoidable warning before SHU-compatible flashing and fixes the standalone RDP transcript so the saved file contains the actual conclusion.
What's changed
- Added the firmware compatibility warning to Windows, Linux, and macOS SHU-compatible flashing.
- Added a five-second delay and explicit confirmation before any SHU dump or hardware action; choosing
Ncancels safely. - RDP Check now saves one complete, ANSI-free transcript under
special/rdp/logs/. - The RDP transcript now includes the connection mode, every OpenOCD attempt, evidence, verdict, and final log path.
- Windows Clear, Rescue, and Enable also use the new RDP log folder.
- Existing RDP logs under
backup/are left untouched.
Validation
The SHU warning, five-second delay, and safe cancellation passed on Windows, Linux, and macOS.
RDP Check passed on real hardware in launcher mode A on all three platforms. Each saved transcript contained the complete OpenOCD output and the same decisive unlocked evidence: USD ffff5aa5, consistent FAP 0xA5 / complement 0x5A, readable main flash, and the correct NOT PROTECTED verdict.
No destructive RDP action was required for this hotfix validation.
