Intro & background settings.

  • New tab under DSH Settings → Plugins → Intro & background: pick the intro (the DeepSeek intro, a video of your own, or none) and the session background (the DeepSeek wallpaper, a looping video, or an image).
  • Media come from ~/.dsh/dsh-cinematic-wallpaper/media/: mp4, m4v and webm videos; jpg, jpeg, png and webp images. The folder is created the first time the tab opens.
  • The background switches at once with a short crossfade; a new intro applies the next time DSH opens.
  • A missing or unplayable file never blocks the UI: the intro is skipped and the background falls back to the DeepSeek one. The tab marks the file as missing.
  • Custom media play muted and fill the window (cropped to cover). Adaptive text colours follow custom backgrounds too.
  • Installing the package no longer pulls in React or schemastery.

The settings tab needs a DSH whose settings service lets a plugin register its own namespace. Verified on DSH 0.1.5-rc.2; on DSH 0.1.7 and later the tab may say it can't save, and the plugin then keeps the DeepSeek intro and background.

Install (DSH >= 0.1.5-rc.1, web profile):

dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/zus12873/dsh-cinematic-wallpaper/releases/latest/download/dsh-cinematic-wallpaper.tgz

The package is prebuilt and includes the two videos.

新增「片头与背景」设置页：在「设置 → 插件 → 片头与背景」里，可以从本地素材文件夹 ~/.dsh/dsh-cinematic-wallpaper/media/ 选择自定义开头视频、背景视频或图片。背景即时切换，开头下次打开时生效；文件缺失时自动回退，不会挡住界面。安装命令见上。

First release.

  • 7-second intro: the film's line-art beat, then a code-driven eye opening, iris flare and camera push, with the HUD drawn in code. Click or any key skips.
  • Animated session wallpaper behind the DSH UI: the character with an AI-generated idle loop (hair sway, half speed).
  • Adaptive text colours over the wallpaper; translucent UI surfaces in both themes.
  • Reduced motion, hidden tabs and missing assets all fall back gracefully.

Install (DSH >= 0.1.5-rc.1, web profile):
