Dashboards work on a phone with Obsidian Sync's default settings.
Dashboards and the answers the desktop saves for the phone are now
Markdown notes, which Sync carries by default, instead of .json files,
which it does not. On a phone ReadOut is a dashboard viewer: it shows the
last answers your desktop saved. Browsing tables and running queries need
the database file on the device.
Your old .json files get their notes once, on the desktop. ReadOut says
how many it wrote, in one line. The .json files are left unchanged, and a
.json dashboard still opens.
A new description says what the phone does.
Fixed
A cache write never replaces a note that is not ReadOut's.
A Sync "conflicted copy" of a dashboard is shown as an error that names the
file kept, and is never opened in place of the real dashboard.
Added
Saved answers are written compact, and a cache note over about 4 MB is named
on the desktop, since Obsidian Sync Standard carries files up to 5 MB.
The command "Check this note as a dashboard", and "Open as dashboard" on a
dashboard note's file menu.
