Zync v2.32.2
Release Notes - Zync v2.32.2
Release date: 2026-09-24
Patch on v2.32.1.
What's New
The server login message stays on screen when you open a host, and a Files tab no longer duplicates when you switch away and come back.
Highlights:
- Login banner - The host's "Last login" line and MOTD reach the terminal
- Files tabs - One Files tab stays one Files tab after you switch hosts
Compare: v2.32.1...v2.32.2
Fixed
- SSH login banner - Authentication banners and the remote login message now show in the first terminal. They were being consumed by the metadata and SFTP setup that runs before the shell. A saved working directory is still applied, and Zync will not type into the shell after you have started typing. (e3dab28, 2adf32b, 00e7e49)
- Windows shell startup - Windows OpenSSH uses the configured default shell, so CMD, PowerShell, an explicit shell path, and a folder on another drive get the right commands. (2adf32b)
- Files tabs on host switch - Open Files on a host or on Local, switch to another host, then come back. The Files tab is still there once. Saved Files panes are reused, including a Files pane docked beside a shell. A new Files tab is created only when that host does not have one yet. (d251558, 00e7e49)

Quick Check After Upgrade
- Login banner - Open a host that prints "Last login" or a MOTD. That text should stay above the prompt.
- Files - Open Files, switch to another host or Local, then switch back. You should still have one Files tab, not a second copy.
- Version - Settings → About shows
