What's New

Zync v2.33.12 makes the replies inbox easier to find and use. It also shows complete survey answers in conversations and updates the license for new desktop source releases. The plugin SDK and UI packages remain MIT licensed in their separate repositories.

Highlights:

  • Inbox at a glance: Open the replies inbox from the compact icon in the status bar. An unread badge and tooltip keep new replies discoverable without adding text to the bar.
  • Report an issue from the inbox: Select Report issue to open Settings > Feedback directly.
  • Complete survey context: Your survey message now shows all submitted answers as labeled fields, including answers from earlier surveys connected to this installation. Contact and installation metadata are not shown in the conversation.
  • Updated desktop license: New Zync desktop source releases use FSL-1.1-ALv2. Each version becomes available under Apache 2.0 after two years. Earlier MIT-licensed releases remain MIT licensed.

The replies inbox appears only when enabled in the app build and supported by the service. This update does not require a new plugin version.

Quick Check After Upgrade

  1. If the replies inbox is enabled, find its icon in the bottom status bar and open it. The unread badge should appear when a new team reply arrives.
  2. Select Report issue in the inbox and confirm that Settings > Feedback opens.
  3. Open a survey conversation and confirm that its submitted answers appear as labeled fields.
  4. Check Settings > About for v2.33.12.
