Adaptive Task Routing 0.5.0 separates the setting suited to a task from whether changing the current setup is worthwhile.

Changes

  • Evaluate switching benefit, remaining work, continuity and setup costs; keep suitable settings when switching offers too little value.
  • In ask, confirm proposed changes or material blockers. Retention and nonblocking uncertainty continue only already authorized work; a plan-only request never authorizes implementation.
  • Present complete findings and plans before the routing note. Compact output leads with the action, uses consistent wording and keeps detailed comparisons optional.
  • Require observed current AI and phase-specific evidence for verified keep. Unknown configurations use provisional retention; Gemini default reasoning is not a current model identity.
  • Share the UX contract across Codex, Claude Code and Gemini CLI, including both Gemini startup and Skill entrypoints.

Install

Download the ZIP for your platform and keep its complete directory structure. Restart CLI sessions or start a new Codex conversation after updating.

Gemini CLI:

gemini extensions install https://github.com/zyzdev/adaptive-task-routing-gemini --ref v0.5.0

Claude Code:

git clone --branch v0.5.0 https://github.com/zyzdev/adaptive-task-routing-claude.git
claude --plugin-dir ./adaptive-task-routing-claude

Codex: extract the OpenAI ZIP and install through your local plugin marketplace.

Validation

84 Python tests, package/archive/SHA-256 checks and native discovery on all three platforms passed. The owner reported completing installed-platform testing before release. Full seven-surface acceptance and measurable cost/quality gains are not claimed. GitHub publication does not imply approval in platform directories.
