GeoCode v0.9.6 — feature update.
Important
This release reworks GeoCode's underlying frontend architecture. Some users upgrading from an earlier version may notice UI stutter or a laggy app window. To fix it, open Settings in GeoCode, choose Reset application, and confirm.
What's new
- Reworked Skill Bazaar downloads — rebuilt how skills are fetched and installed
- Improved GEE environment management — better background handling, including proxy support
- Stronger web search — GeoAgent searches the web more capably
- Better document reading — GeoAgent handles Word, PDF, and similar files more capably
- Fixed QGIS environment failing to work under certain conditions
- Fixed incorrect encoding of attachment files in the input bar
- Fixed geospatial data preview glitches in some cases
How to update
Coming from an earlier version? Two steps:
- Remove the old version — on Windows, run the GeoCode uninstaller; on macOS, simply drag the old GeoCode app to the Trash
- Install the new version — that's it. All your data (settings, sessions, skills) is preserved
