zipax is an open-source (MIT License) desktop compression app. All core compression logic is written in Rust and runs cross-platform on macOS, Windows, and Linux:
- Manual compression: drag & drop / paste / file picker
- Folder automation: watch folders and auto-compress new files
- Formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, TIFF, PDF
- Modes: quality first, balanced, size first, advanced, target size
- Auto-update: powered by the Tauri updater
