Compatdata Delete

WARNING: Please be careful, as this includes save data for the game, and deleting the compatdata folder will cause Steam to sync an empty game save to Steam Cloud. However, by default, tinkergame will create a backup in ~/.config/tinkergame/backup/ See Backup-Support for more info Sometimes Steam/Proton requires that a compatdata dir of a game be manually removed after a Proton update.

The tinkergame function Recreate Proton compatdata technically does this as well, but is too bloated for a simple deletion.

To make things easier, the option Delete pfx (DELPFX) can be used (via Game Menu)

to automatically remove everything in the compatdata of the game (so usually the whole pfx and its corresponding proton config files) directly before the game is started. Steam will create a fresh one automatically then.

It is always a good idea to have Backup Support enabled, but when DELPFX is enabled, tinkergame also creates a backup of the current steamuser directory, if no backup was found.
