Rumble Roses XX Recomp v1.4: launcher updates itself + DLSS 5 tab

This download contains no game files. You need your own legally obtained copy of the game (disc image .iso,
the USA/Japan v2 release the recomp is built for).

New in v1.4

  • Update check: the launcher asks GitHub for the latest release when it opens and shows "Update available" on
the Play tab. Update downloads the game zip, checks its SHA-256 against the release's own checksum and
replaces only the program files that changed (game exe and DLLs, the launcher itself, readme/licence files).
Your settings (game\RumbleRosesReX.toml), saves, mods, mod packs, game files and the DLSS 5 folder are never
touched. Replaced files go to update-backups\, and if anything fails the old files are put back.
You can turn the check off on the Play tab.
  • DLSS 5 tab: installs the optional DLSS 5 add-on (4K at 60 fps with NVIDIA DLSS 5 neural rendering on RTX
cards), runs its setup and starts the game with DLSS 5. "Start with DLSS 5" on the Play tab makes Play use it.
    The normal Play is unchanged.
  • From v1.3: lighter menus (the game no longer redraws the same frame hundreds of times a second in menus).
  • Game program and mod pack: same as v1.3 / v1.2.

Install / update

  • New install: unzip RRXX-Recomp-v1.4.zip anywhere, run RRXX Launcher.exe, choose your ISO on the
Setup tab. Optional mod pack: Mod packs tab (pack v1.2).
  • Updating from v1.3 or v1.2: copy RRXX Launcher.exe from the zip over your old one, open it and press
Update if it offers one. Don't unzip the whole folder over your install: that would reset your settings file.
This is the last manual update: from now on the launcher updates itself.
  • Updating from v1.1 or older: copy RRXX Launcher.exe, game\rumble_roses_xx.exe and game\rexruntime.dll.

DLSS 5 (optional, RTX cards)

  • Needs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX card (RTX 40/50 recommended; RTX 20/30 are much slower), NVIDIA Smooth Motion off,
and your own nvngx_dlssnr.dll (the DLSS 5 model file, not included). RTX 50 can use NVIDIA's original 310.8
file; RTX 20/30/40 need the "compatibility" build (tested: 310.9.16, SHA-256
    CDFA6C1EC784867182164C7836F324F087B5C9F374D0C9FE46F54999FEABF3ED). Known builds:
    OptiScaler-NR's INSTALL-DLSSNR.md.
  • In the launcher: DLSS 5 tab > install the add-on > set up (pick your dll). Without the launcher: unzip
RRXX-DLSS5-Addon-v1.4.zip into the install folder and run Setup DLSS 5.bat, then Play with DLSS 5.bat.
  • The setup downloads about 195 MB from the official pages and checks every file's SHA-256:
    ReShade 6.8.0, DLSS5-Feeder 1.19.0,
    OptiScaler-NR 0.8.92,
    NVIDIA DLSS 310.9.16, LumeniteFX,
ReShade shader headers. Nothing is installed system-wide.
  • In game: F9 DLSS 5 on/off, F10 DLSS 5 settings, Home ReShade, F4 recomp menu.
  • Tested on one PC (RTX 4090, Windows 11, 4K): locked 60 fps in matches. Other cards are untested; DLSS 5 here is
experimental third-party software, not an NVIDIA release. On RTX 40 with the compatibility build, changing
Passes or Style while playing twice hung the DLSS 5 helper in testing (restart the game; keep 1 pass, Standard).
  • New in this add-on version: the fps counter is off by default.

Known issues

  • Only the one disc version is supported; other versions are refused by the launcher.
  • Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for the unsigned launcher ("More info" > "Run anyway").
  • Overlays (RivaTuner first) can break the DLSS 5 launch; close them if it won't start.

Rumble Roses XX Recomp v1.3: lighter menus + DLSS 5 add-on

@360recomper 360recomper released this 18 Oct 18:33

Rumble Roses XX Recomp v1.3: lighter menus + DLSS 5 add-on (optional)

This download contains no game files. You need your own legally obtained copy of the game (disc image .iso,
the USA/Japan v2 release the recomp is built for).

New in v1.3

  • Less GPU load in menus: the recomp used to redraw the same frame as fast as your monitor allowed (165-240 times a
second on fast screens) while its notification overlay was idle. It now draws once per game frame. Gameplay is
unchanged; GPU use and heat in menus go down.
  • Optional DLSS 5 add-on: play at 4K, 60 fps with NVIDIA DLSS 5 neural rendering on RTX cards (details below).
Your normal launch doesn't change, and saves and mods are shared.
  • Launcher, game program (rumble_roses_xx.exe) and mod pack are the same as v1.2.

Install / update

  • Updating from v1.2: copy game\rexruntime.dll from RRXX-Recomp-2026-10-18.zip over your old one. That's the
only changed file (don't unzip the whole folder over your install: that would reset your settings file).
  • New install: unzip RRXX-Recomp-2026-10-18.zip anywhere, run RRXX Launcher.exe, choose your ISO on the
Setup tab. Optional mod pack: still v1.2 (Mod packs tab).

DLSS 5 add-on (optional, RRXX-DLSS5-Addon-2026-10-18.zip)

What you need

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX card (RTX 40/50 recommended; RTX 20/30 are much slower) and a current driver.
  • The recomp v1.2 or v1.3 set up with the launcher.
  • Your own nvngx_dlssnr.dll (the DLSS 5 model file). It is not included and the setup doesn't download it.
RTX 50 can use NVIDIA's original 310.8 file. RTX 20/30/40 need the "compatibility" build (the tested one is
310.9.16, SHA-256 CDFA6C1EC784867182164C7836F324F087B5C9F374D0C9FE46F54999FEABF3ED). Known builds and hashes are in
    OptiScaler-NR's INSTALL-DLSSNR.md.
  • NVIDIA Smooth Motion off for this game.

Install the add-on

  1. Unzip RRXX-DLSS5-Addon-2026-10-18.zip into your recomp folder (the one with RRXX Launcher.exe and game).
  2. Run Setup DLSS 5.bat. First pick your nvngx_dlssnr.dll. The setup then downloads about 195 MB from the
official pages and checks every file against a fixed SHA-256:
    ReShade 6.8.0 (add-on build),
    DLSS5-Feeder 1.19.0,
    OptiScaler-NR 0.8.92,
    NVIDIA DLSS 310.9.16,
    LumeniteFX and three
    ReShade shader headers.
Everything goes into the dlss5 folder. Nothing is installed system-wide, and you don't need admin rights.
  3. Play with Play with DLSS 5.bat.

In game, F9 turns DLSS 5 on/off, F10 opens the DLSS 5 settings panel, Home opens ReShade and F4 opens
the recomp menu as usual.

The game renders at 2560x1440 and DLSS 5 outputs 4K. On an RTX 4090 that holds 60 fps in matches. The add-on
brings the v1.3 runtime DLL for its own launch, so it also works on a v1.2 install (without the menu fix, DLSS 5 ran
two or three times per frame).

To remove it, delete the dlss5 folder, Setup DLSS 5.bat and Play with DLSS 5.bat.

Known issues

  • Tested on one PC (RTX 4090, Windows 11, 4K). Other cards and resolutions are untested.
  • DLSS 5 is experimental third-party software, not an NVIDIA release.
  • On RTX 40 with the compatibility build, changing Passes or Style while playing twice hung the DLSS 5 helper in
testing. The game keeps running without DLSS 5; restart it. Keep the defaults (1 pass, Standard).
  • Overlays (RivaTuner first) can break the ReShade layer. Close them if the game won't start with DLSS 5.

Rumble Roses XX Recomp v1.2

@360recomper 360recomper released this 16 Oct 05:03

Rumble Roses XX Recomp v1.2

Move fixes: a new game program (strike combos) plus a new version of the free mod pack. The launcher is the same as in v1.1.

This download contains no game files. You need your own legally obtained copy of the game (disc image .iso,
the USA/Japan v2 release the recomp is built for). DLC is optional and also comes from your own copy.

New in v1.2

  • 3-hit strike combos for imported moves: the game only chained strikes listed in a fixed table, so the new
wrestlers' neutral strikes stopped after one hit. The game program now gives them a combo window, and 14 of the
pack's wrestlers get their full combo. (Mod makers: extra moves can be added in mods\moves\combo_windows.txt,
one move-id frame pair per line.)

Mod pack v1.2 (separate download)

  • Sable Bomb is a real powerbomb now (it played a suplex), and Sable's taunt is her own.
  • Move sounds: imported grapples, slams, dives, strikes and taunts that were silent now play their impact sounds.
  • Tree of woe: after the tree-of-woe moves the opponent ends slumped in the corner (ready for the corner follow-ups)
instead of climbing to the top rope.
  • Jazz: her Middle Kick strike was a backhand; it is the kick now.
  • Outside dives: two of the dives to the floor played the wrong animation; each wrestler now does the dive her name says.
  • Trish: Killer move = Chick Kick, Lethal move = Stratusfaction (from the corner).
  • If you have the v1.1 pack installed: Mod packs tab > uninstall it, then install the v1.2 pack. Your save progress
stays; the created wrestlers' names, movesets and looks are written again by the pack.

Install / update

  1. Updating from v1.1: only the game program changed. Copy game\rumble_roses_xx.exe from the zip over your old
one (don't unzip the whole folder over your install: that would reset your settings file). Then update the pack (above).
New install: download RRXX-Recomp-2026-10-16.zip and unzip it anywhere.
  2. Run RRXX Launcher.exe. New install: on the Setup tab choose your Rumble Roses XX.iso.
  3. Optional: Mod packs tab > Install a pack... > RRXX-Recomp-ModPack.rrxxpack (v1.2).
  4. Pick outfits in Attire, then Play.

Windows 10/11 x64 and a Vulkan-capable GPU. Full guide: Install-Guide.html in the zip; every imported move is in Movelist.html.

Known issues

  • Only the one disc version is supported; other versions are refused by the launcher.
  • The D3D12 backend is experimental; use Vulkan unless you have a reason.
  • Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for the unsigned launcher ("More info" > "Run anyway").

Tip: corner moves on a slumped opponent (Stink Face, Alley Oop, Pushes Turnbuckle)

These only work when the opponent is sitting slumped at the bottom of the corner (not hanging upside down).

  1. Put her there: run into her while she stands in the corner (Torrie: Turnbuckle Dropkick), or use a corner grapple
that drops her (Corner Elbow / Corner Knee Attack; Movelist.html names the direction per wrestler).
  2. Walk up to her and press grapple + a direction. Grapple alone pulls her back up.

@360recomper 360recomper released this 15 Oct 22:56

Rumble Roses XX Recomp v1.1

Launcher update plus a new version of the free mod pack. The game program itself is the same as in v1.0.

This download contains no game files. You need your own legally obtained copy of the game (disc image .iso,
the USA/Japan v2 release the recomp is built for). DLC is optional and also comes from your own copy.

New in v1.1

  • Attire tab in the launcher: pick an outfit for each created wrestler from cards with front and back previews,
press Apply, and she wears it from the next match on. Default outfit and Reset all to default go back to the
pack's normal looks. Costume mods from the Mods tab show up there too.
  • Mod pack saves fixed: the pack's names, movesets and looks now reach your save reliably. Saves in any profile
folder are found. An empty or brand-new save is retried instead of being skipped. If the game hasn't made a save yet,
the launcher waits until you close the game and then finishes by itself.
  • Clearer messages in the Mod packs tab.

Mod pack v1.1 (separate download)

  • 38 extra outfits for the created wrestlers, picked in the new Attire tab (68 outfits in all).
  • Better imported models: the SvR divas' heads no longer sit too low (thick necks), the PS2 divas Jazz and Ivory no longer have long necks, and the black smear around the eyes is gone.
  • If you have the old pack installed: uninstall it in the Mod packs tab, then install the new one. Your save progress stays.

Install / update

  1. Updating from v1.0: only the launcher changed. Copy the new RRXX Launcher.exe from the zip over your old one
(don't unzip the whole folder over your install: that would reset your settings file).
New install: download RRXX-Recomp-2026-10-15.zip and unzip it anywhere.
  2. Run RRXX Launcher.exe. New install: on the Setup tab choose your Rumble Roses XX.iso.
  3. Optional: Mod packs tab > Install a pack... > RRXX-Recomp-ModPack.rrxxpack.
  4. Pick outfits in Attire, then Play.

Windows 10/11 x64 and a Vulkan-capable GPU. Full guide: Install-Guide.html in the zip.

Known issues

  • Only the one disc version is supported; other versions are refused by the launcher.
  • The D3D12 backend is experimental; use Vulkan unless you have a reason.
  • Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for the unsigned launcher ("More info" > "Run anyway").

Windows 10/11 x64 and a Vulkan-capable GPU. An Xbox controller is recommended. Full guide: README.md in the zip.

Known issues

  • Only the one disc version is supported; other versions are refused by the launcher.
  • The D3D12 backend is experimental; use Vulkan unless you have a reason.
  • Very high render scales (6 = 8K) need a strong GPU.
  • Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for the unsigned launcher ("More info" > "Run anyway").
  • The launcher's ISO setup has only been tested with one ISO; please report dumps that fail.
