SvR07 Recomp v1.1 (Vulkan update)
SvR 2007 Recomp v1.1: Vulkan update
An updated build of HollywoodAkeem's SVR07-Recomp. This download contains no game files. You need your own legally obtained copy of the game.
What's new
- No more exploding wrestler models. The random one-frame "body explosion" glitches came from the Direct3D 12 renderer. This build uses Vulkan by default, and they're gone.
- Smooth frame pacing: a steady 60 fps without the uneven stutter.
- Moved to ReXGlue SDK v0.10, plus fixes for two bugs in how the game's maths code was translated.
- F4 menu in game: resolution, graphics backend, fullscreen (also F11), vsync, sharpening, and Quit.
- Save backup: in F4, Back up saves, Restore latest and Open saves folder.
- Controller: Back + Start opens the F4 menu. Use the D-pad to move, A to select and B to close.
- The game mutes and ignores the controller while its window isn't focused (can be turned off in F4).
- Saving fix (no more endless save loop). Settings now save reliably.
Install
- Install the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) if you don't have it.
- Download
SVR07-Recomp-Vulkan.zipand unzip it anywhere. - Put your extracted game files in an
assetsfolder next tosvr07.exe(assets\default.xex,assets\pac\, ...). - Run
svr07.exe.
Saves stay in Documents\svr07 (same as the original release), so existing saves carry over.
Requirements: Windows 10/11 x64 and a GPU with Vulkan support.
Known issues
- Direct3D 12 is still available in F4 but still has the model glitches. Use Vulkan.
- Windows may show a SmartScreen warning for the unsigned exe ("More info" > "Run anyway").
