A wave-based survival FPS, inspired by game elements from DOOM (1993) and the Call of Duty Zombies gamemode.
Control a character equipped with a shotgun to battle countless waves of enemies in an arena until you perish. How many waves can you survive?

How to Download

Download the version corresponding to your computer operating system and run the executable (or app if you're on Mac).

NOTE FOR MAC USERS: You will need to check what CPU you have (Intel or M-series), and download the Mac version corresponding to your CPU.

Your computer will give a warning, telling you not to run unknown programs. Follow the process for your operating system to allow the program to run anyway.

  • Windows users will need to click something along the lines of "more info" > "run anyway"
  • Mac users will need to go into their privacy and security settings to allow the program to "open anyway". See the video below for a walkthrough

Key Features

  • 1st-person point of view with pseudo-3D visuals
  • Enemies that move around the map, engage in combat with the player, and be defeated
  • A usable shotgun for the player to use against the enemies
  • A game menu upon game launch or opened through the escape key, that shows the game title, goal, and controls

Program Execution Instructions

  1. Download and extract the theLion_Windows.zip folder onto your computer
  2. Open the folder and run the main.exe file
    NOTE: YOU NEED TO PRESS ENTER TWICE TO START THE GAME

If you get a Microsoft Defender pop-up warning you about running unknown .exe’s, click “more info”, then “Run anyway”

Program Execution Instructions

  1. Download and extract the MacOsVersionGame.zip folder onto your computer
  2. To start the game, double click on the Unix Executeable “main” file. NOTICE: there are two files named “main”. The Unix one should be at the top of the folder

NOTICE: Due to our app not being signed, you may encounter a MacOS warning you that it will not be opened.
In this case, please open up your settings, navigate to “privacy & security”.You should see a message towards the bottom stating “main” was blocked to protect your mac.
Please click on open anyway and try again.
