How to get funds for L2 sidechains

Polygon / Matic

• Add Polygon network to Metamask
  • e.g. via https://chainlist.org/
  • or https://dappradar.com/blog/set-up-metamask-on-layer-2-and-avoid-ethereum-gas-fees
• You need MATIC for gas fees.
• Get MATIC on e.g. https://cowswap.exchange/
• Bridge via: https://wallet.matic.network/bridge/
• Wait (takes ~10min before the MATIC show up)

Binance smart chain

• Add BSC to Metamask
  • e.g. via https://chainlist.org/
  • or https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/connecting-metamask-to-binance-smart-chain
• You need BNB for gas fees.
• You can't easily bridge BNB from Ethereum mainnet to BSC.
• Instead, bridge ETH via: https://www.binance.org/en/bridge
  • You can click the checkmark to buy some BNB with this tx already.
• Trade ETH for BNB e.g. on https://exchange.pancakeswap.finance/#/swap
