A fix for Setup on PCs where it stopped with "can't unpack the installer".

Fixed

  • Setup's installer is no longer deleted by antivirus. The installer inside DAORecomp.exe used to be a self-extracting program that Windows Defender wrongly flagged (a machine-learning false positive) and removed as it was unpacked. It now runs on python.org's official Python, signed by the Python Software Foundation.
  • If antivirus still removes a file, Setup says so and points to Windows Security's Protection history to restore it.
  • Each file Setup unpacks is checked against the download before it runs.
  • Old unpacked installers are cleaned up instead of piling up in %LOCALAPPDATA%\DAORecomp-build.

Updating

Download DAORecomp.exe below and run it, or use Update in the launcher. Your install, saves and settings are kept.
