Initial Release

The first release of Odeon, an independent, debloated, and customized fork of Screenbox.

This release establishes Odeon’s core identity with a cleaner interface, improved subtitle rendering, simplified playback controls, and a privacy-focused approach.

✨ Features Added

  • Added Futura Cyrillic Medium throughout the application and subtitle renderer.
  • Added improved ASS/SSA subtitle styling for cleaner and more consistent subtitles.
  • Added support for extracting embedded MKV subtitles directly into memory.
  • Added isolated subtitle caching without modifying original media files.
  • Added a simplified playback time display.
  • Added redesigned seekbar and chapter progress controls.
  • Added complete Odeon branding across the application.
