UI, Stability & Performance Improvements
This release focuses on refining Odeon's interface, improving playback reliability, and addressing a large number of stability issues across subtitles, audio, playlists, navigation, and player controls.
Alongside the visible improvements, extensive under-the-hood changes were made to make Odeon more reliable and efficient during playback and UI interactions.
✨ Features Added
- Added chapter segments to the seekbar for clearer chapter navigation.
- Added chapter previews to the seekbar tooltip while hovering or scrubbing.
- Added dividers between playlist videos for clearer separation.
- Added smooth spring animations to subtitle, audio, and playlist panels.
- Added a dedicated subtitle position slider with live positioning and quick reset.
- Added improved controls and visual feedback throughout the player interface.
🗑️ Features Removed
- Removed Light Mode and made Odeon exclusively dark.
- Removed inconsistent theme options from Settings.
- Removed the previous glassmorphic button styling in favor of a unified button design.
- Removed the old subtitle up/down positioning buttons.
- Removed unnecessary focus behavior and default UI focus visuals.

- Fixed audio playback and audio device initialization issues.
- Fixed incorrect default audio track selection.
- Fixed custom audio device handling with libmpv/WASAPI.
- Fixed chapter loading and synchronization issues during startup.
- Fixed chapter visibility not updating immediately when toggled.
- Fixed seekbar expanding when simply hovering over it.
- Fixed volume boost not working beyond 100%.
- Fixed external subtitles not appearing correctly in the Subtitle panel.
- Fixed crashes when adding external subtitle or audio tracks.
- Fixed multiple playlist crashes when adding videos or rapidly switching between videos.
- Fixed playlist flyout state not resetting correctly when reopened.
- Fixed hover and selection animations becoming stuck on multiple items.
- Fixed selection and hover state conflicts in playlist multi-select mode.
- Fixed crashes caused by UI elements being updated while panels were collapsed or unloaded.
- Fixed asynchronous track updates from previous videos affecting newly opened videos.
