CADaddy 0.7.2: exact curves

More accurate

  • Snapping to where something crosses an ellipse or a spline (Intersection) now lands exactly on both, not on an approximation of the curve. The same goes for Nearest on ellipses and splines.
  • TRIM and EXTEND against an ellipse or a spline end exactly on it.
  • OFFSET of an ellipse gives a smooth spline (as AutoCAD does) instead of a polyline, and offsetting a spline stays true to the curve, within a millionth of its size.

  • Windows: CADaddy-Windows.msi. If Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway (the installer isn't code-signed yet).
  • Mac (Apple chip and Intel): CADaddy-Mac.dmg. Drag CADaddy to Applications. The first time, if your Mac says it "could not verify" CADaddy, open System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Open Anyway.
  • Claude Desktop: CADaddy.mcpb. Open it to let Claude open, draw, query, render and save DWG and DXF drawings.
