Opening other people's DWGs
- Layouts that came up blank or off the sheet now show their sheet where AutoCAD puts it, including layouts set to millimetres in an inch drawing.
- Viewports that had been panned in AutoCAD now show the right part of the model.
- Saving no longer resets the drawing's dimension settings (architectural units, text and arrow sizes, alternate units and more).
- Attributes on layer 0 stay on layer 0 when you save.
- A tab in multiline text no longer turns into "^I" after a DWG save.
Drafting the way AutoCAD users expect
- COPY: the Array option (with Fit) and Undo now work.
- FILLET and CHAMFER: a radius or distance too large for the lines is refused instead of producing odd geometry.
- TRIM: after choosing cutting edges, an object that doesn't cross them is kept, not erased.
- DIMCONTINUE / DIMBASELINE: Enter lets you pick another dimension to continue from; a second Enter ends.
- OFFSET keeps polyline widths.
- HATCH: boundaries follow door swings inside blocks, and text gets a clear margin.
-HATCHPattern asks for the scale and angle. - ATTDEF asks for text height and rotation.
- ORTHO typed at the command line asks ON/OFF (F8 still toggles).
- ERASE tells you when objects were skipped because they're on a locked layer.
- New commands: CHPROP, CHANGE, classic -ARRAY, LEADER at the command line, and QLEADER (LE).
Sturdier
- Opening something that isn't a regular file (or is huge) gives an error instead of eating memory.
- The AI connector (MCP) answers a garbled message with an error instead of shutting down.
