Background downloads + cancel 🚀

  • 📥 Background downloads — downloads now run in a foreground service, so they keep going (and finish) even when you leave the app or lock the screen.
  • ✖️ Cancel — stop a download from the in-app Cancel button or the Cancel action on its notification.
  • 💬 Friendlier messages for rate-limited / bot-blocked sites.

Notes

  • Cancel is best-effort: the download engine has no hard process-kill, so it stops the pipeline and deletes partial files, but a transfer may finish in the background.
  • YouTube can be intermittent (it aggressively rate-limits and bot-checks automated downloads) — Instagram, Pinterest, X and most sites are reliable.
  • On Xiaomi/MIUI phones, enable Autostart and set battery to No restrictions for Mone so the system doesn't freeze background downloads.

Install: download Mone-v1.0.3.apk and sideload. ⚠️ Personal use only.
