🧹 Denoiser: Neat Video-style noise reduction

- Auto noise profile: every video is analysed first. Luma and colour noise are measured on 4 frames, so one preset fits clean and very noisy footage alike. The measured noise is shown in the log.
- Temporal noise reduction: a 3D FFT Wiener filter works over the previous, current and next frame.
- Detail recovery: a little of the original texture is mixed back in, so skin and fabric stay natural.
- Luma sharpening (0–100 %) runs at the end, without colour fringes.
- 9 presets:
- Auto, Light, Medium, Strong, Very strong;
- Film grain (cleans but keeps the grain);
- Low light / smartphone and Old VHS / analog (strong colour-noise pass);
- Animation / cartoons.
- 3 quality levels: Balanced (3D FFT), High quality (+ non-local means) and Fast (hqdn3d, real time). Strength goes from 0 to 200 %.
- It runs before Scale, OptiScaler and NVIDIA RTX, so the upscaler works on a clean picture.
On test footage with added noise, PSNR went from 33.5 dB to 37.6 dB on text and graphics, and from 32.1 dB to 34.0 dB on heavy noise over fine texture.
This is not a neural network: FFmpeg has no built-in AI denoiser. It follows Neat Video's method (noise profile + temporal filtering) with FFmpeg's own filters.
🎒 Portable edition with FFmpeg 9.0.2
- FFmpegForge-1.1.2-Portable.rar
is one folder that includes FFmpeg 9.0.2 full (gyan.dev):ffmpeg.exe,ffprobe.exeandffplay.exe`. - Nothing to install, and nothing written to the registry or
%APPDATA%. Settings and caches stay inSettings\, so you can carry it on a USB stick. - The bundled FFmpeg is always used, even after the folder is moved.
- It includes the FFmpeg licence, build info, HTML documentation and presets, plus the full FFmpeg Forge source code.
- Delete
portable.txtto switch back to the normal mode.
🔧 Fixes
- FSR 2 / FSR 3 on screen recordings: files recorded by VLC (or cut mid-stream) whose size was not reported are now probed deeper, and the first frame is decoded if needed. If the size is still unknown, the conversion falls back to FSR 1 instead of failing.
- Frame rate: a container time base reported as the frame rate (e.g. 1000 fps) is ignored, and the real average frame rate is used. This matters for FSR 3 frame generation.
- Version info: the window title and the file version now show 1.1.2.
