Philips Pet Series in Home Assistant

This integration connects your Philips Pet Series smart feeder to Home Assistant. Once it is set up you can feed the cat from a dashboard, use meals in your automations, watch the camera, and be told when the food is getting low.

It exists because the Philips app is perfectly fine, but it is a separate app, and the feeder ended up sitting outside everything else in the house. It does not have to. Feeding is part of the daily routine, and the routine already lives in Home Assistant.

Start here

If you are setting this up for the first time, these three pages are the whole job and take about ten minutes.

  1. Installation: getting the integration into Home Assistant.
  2. Signing In: connecting your Philips account.
  3. Your Devices and Entities: what appears afterwards, and what it all means.

Then have a look at

When something is wrong

  • Troubleshooting: the problems people actually hit, and what fixes them.
  • FAQ: short answers to the questions that come up most.

Which devices work

Philips Pet Series feeders in the PAW range, including the PAW5320 smart feeder with camera. Feeders without a camera work too. You simply get the feeding and sensor side.

If you have a Pet Series device that is not recognised, please open an issue and say which model you have. Adding one is usually a small change.

Getting help

  • Issues for bugs, and devices that are not picked up.
  • Discussions for questions, ideas, and automations you are proud of.
