Re-Splashed Mod

Made by @AbyssalCreature & @Mystica6, with help from @ANXvariable. @Ehseezed & @rm-steele.

The AM2R Re-Splashed project changes many visuals within the game to feel smoother and more fitting of the environment that it exists in. As an added bonus this is also really good for photosensitive eyes as it tones down a lot of the extreme colors and the harsh flash of the Power Bomb explosions, and EMP Battery explosions. It is also meant to be a base "engine" (not really) for whoever wishes to use it for their own mods, allowing more visual customization, as well including new tracks.

Re-Splashed

  • Added a setting to toggle the Omega Suit that was added in Multitroid.
  • Fixed Spiderball effects not appearing until on the ground for 2D suits.
  • Re-Splashed settings now vanishes when exiting using the SubScreen
  • Fixed a tiling error in msq and multitroid in rm_a0h28 (the vertical room)

Versions are NO LONGER split in two sets by suit colors: 2D/3D; instead, they're in a singular mod. Said sets are the following:

2D Palettes:

  • Power suit designs are based off of Super Metroid's suits.
  • Fusion suit designs are based off of Metroid Fusion's suits.

3D Palettes:

  • Power suits are based off of Prime 1's suits.
  • Fusion suits are based Samus Returns' fusion suits.

How to swap between 3D and 2D palettes:

  • Go to Extras, and then switch "Fusion Suit Style" to whichever you want.
  • Make sure self palette in Multitroid settings is disabled.

YOU CAN ALSO USE F5 AND F6 TO QUICKLY SWITCH BETWEEN THEM!!

  • F5 = 3D
  • F6 = 2D

How to enable custom multitroid palettes:

  • Go to Multitroid Settings, choose your preferred color; set Palette to Re-Splashed or Special & set self palette to enabled.
  • Finally, connect to a Multitroid server.

WHEN NOT USING MULTITROID, DISABLE SELF PALETTE, OTHERWISE YOU WON'T SEE THE RESPLASHED SUITS!!!

All Sprites were resplashed/edited by @AbyssalCreature and @Mystica6, with contributions from @Princess-Lucina (Arm Cannons) & @Haihaa (Backgrounds); alongside many manual edits on room layouts to make things look just right in game, as well as whole new base tileset/sprites for the game.

Most custom code credits go to @TheyCallMeXander, @Haihaa & @rm-steele.

Custom music credits go to Kassil, seregauss and Pete Lepley, which are properly credited on the main page for this repository.

How to install

Open the AM2R Launcher, go to the Mod Settings tab, click "Add New Mod," select the mod zip, go back to the Play tab, and install. The steps should be the same for Windows, Linux and MacOS and the Android APK can be created on the Play tab.

How to update

Go to the Mod Settings tab, click "Update Mod," then select the mod zip and proceed like you would after an install.
