Airreload CLI v0.3.0-beta.6 — Reconnect hotfix
Hotfix for reconnecting the paired phone during long builds or after the APK is ready.
- Add Show reconnect QR to the computer's pairing page while building and after completion.
- Explain how to reconnect without stopping the current build.
- Preserve the one-phone session restriction and return the existing APK instead of rebuilding.
Use with Airreload Go 1.1.0-beta.4. Keep the original CLI process running at the same network address. After updating Go, start one fresh CLI session, because older Go versions did not persist their in-flight pairing identity.
Native binaries and SHA-256 files are included for Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon, and Linux x64. Windows, macOS, and Linux CI runs tests, static analysis, native compilation, and installation-layout smoke checks. Live Windows phone pairing has not been acceptance-tested for this hotfix.

Airreload CLI v0.3.0-beta.5
Windows x64 installations can now use airreload update to install future CLI updates.
Changes
- Support automatic updates for installer-owned Windows x64 installations, alongside macOS Apple Silicon.
- Open a separate PowerShell updater window and wait for the current CLI process to exit before replacing the locked executable.
- Use Windows process checks to prevent replacing an active Airreload session.
- Fetch the installer and manifest from the same pinned revision, verify the installer-pinned binary checksum, and preserve downloaded SDKs and pairing data without changing PATH.
- Report the update handoff accurately; the PowerShell window confirms success or shows the failure and cleans up temporary files.
Upgrading older Windows versions
Windows CLI versions through 0.3.0-beta.4 cannot update themselves. Stop running Airreload sessions and run this once in PowerShell:
& ([scriptblock]::Create((Invoke-WebRequest -UseBasicParsing 'https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Airreload/installer/main/install.ps1').Content)) -Replace -PreserveData -NoPath
airreload versionAfter installing 0.3.0-beta.5, future updates can use airreload update. Source checkouts remain manual updates. Airreload Go does not need a new release for this fix.
Validation and downloads
Formatting, static analysis, full Dart tests, native compilation, and executable smoke checks run on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Windows tests cover the PowerShell helper, parent-process exit, installer arguments, failure cleanup, and active-session blocking.
Download the native executable for your platform with its matching .sha256 file. Flutter SDKs continue to download on demand.

Airreload CLI v0.3.0-beta.4
Pairing stays available while you wait, and temporary Wi-Fi failures can recover without starting a new session. Use this beta with Airreload Go 1.1.0-beta.3.
Changes
- Remove the default ten-minute timeout for pairing, installing/opening the app, and reconnecting. Keep the computer awake and the terminal running; Ctrl-C stops the session.
- Keep explicit limits available with
--wait-timeout SECONDS;0is the new default and disables the deadline. - Safely recognize retries of the same pairing report after a lost response, while rejecting a different phone or changed ABI report.
- Report “waiting” until a phone pairs instead of prematurely reporting “building”.
- Simplify update-command output.
Validation and downloads
The release workflow runs formatting, static analysis, the full Dart test suite, native compilation, and executable smoke tests on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Download the native executable for your platform and its matching .sha256 file. Flutter SDKs continue to download on demand.

Airreload CLI v0.3.0-beta.3
Fixes native CLI startup when invoked as airreload through PATH. SDKs and session data now resolve under the installer-owned directory rather than relative to the current Flutter project.
Airreload now shows the selected SDK path when installing or reusing a cached Flutter SDK. Installation still downloads only the native CLI; Flutter is downloaded on first use.
Verified with Dart tests, static analysis, and compiled binary smoke tests on macOS, Windows, and Linux. The smoke test now covers invocation through PATH.
Airreload CLI 0.3.0 Beta 2
Airreload now installs as a standalone native CLI. The macOS Apple Silicon and Windows x64 installers download one SHA-256-verified executable, without cloning Flutter, installing Dart, or resolving CLI packages.
Flutter SDKs are selected per project, downloaded on first use, and shared across projects through the SDK cache. doctor supports a fresh installation with no SDK; direct attach also resolves its project SDK on demand. Git is required for SDK downloads, and Android builds still require Android tools and a suitable JDK.
Use the Airreload installer for installation and upgrades. Preserve pairing credentials and cached SDKs with --replace --preserve-data on macOS or -Replace -PreserveData on Windows. Automatic CLI updates remain macOS-only.
Assets include macOS arm64, Windows x64, and Linux x64 executables with SHA-256 files. The Linux binary has no installer; set AIRRELOAD_WORKSPACE to a writable data directory when running outside a source checkout.
This beta retains the existing supported Flutter previews; physical-phone acceptance is separate from installer and CLI CI verification.
Airreload CLI 0.2.0 Beta 2
Smoother pairing, reliable reconnects, unified dark mode
This Beta 2 source release is intended to be used with Airreload Go 1.1.0-beta.2.
What's new
- Pair Airreload Go before building; select the Android target from the phone's supported ABIs instead of building an unnecessary universal APK.
- A compact navy/slate QR page updates automatically from waiting to paired/building and app ready, and reports errors or an unavailable session.
- Improved hot restart, local DevTools access, and reconnect handling when the phone app is closed and reopened, including rejecting stale VM endpoints.
- Windows CLI support alongside macOS and Linux, with platform-aware process launching and network-interface selection.
Installation and compatibility
This is a source release, not a standalone installer. It still requires the Airreload workspace layout with the patched Flutter SDK. Use the repository README for setup.
Pair with the companion Airreload Go Beta 2 release. Keep the computer and phone on the same trusted network and keep the CLI running. Android installation still requires approval on the phone.
Validation
- Dart formatting and static analysis passed.
- Local test suite: 54 passed; one Windows-only test skipped on macOS.
- Native macOS CLI compiled and reports version 0.2.0-beta.2.
- The release commit passed Linux, macOS, and Windows CI, including tests and native executable smoke checks.
- Browser verification covered waiting, paired/building, app-ready, and session-unavailable states.

Airreload CLI 0.2.0 beta 1
Source release of the Airreload CLI beta.
airreload runbuilds a Flutter Android debug APK, shows an installation QR code, and attaches for hot reload.- Development hosts: macOS and Linux.
- Validation: static analysis passed and all 30 tests passed.
This release does not include a standalone binary or installer. It currently expects the Airreload workspace layout with the patched Flutter SDK.
