What's New in v1.0.2

1. 10x Quick Zoom Button on Viewfinder

  • 1-Tap 10x Toggle: Restored the dedicated 10x quick-zoom button directly on the viewfinder toggle strip:
    0.5x, 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x
  • Available across Photo, Night Sight, and Video modes.
  • Native Super Res Zoom: Automatically engages Google's NativeFusionZoom and NativeZoomPlus pipelines without requiring manual pinch gestures.

2. Viewfinder Quick Access Controls

  • Added functional Brightness and Shadows adjustment sliders to the viewfinder quick-access controls.
  • Interactive Dual-EV Sliders: Adjust brightness and shadows directly from the viewfinder.
  • Haptic Feedback: 10-tick slider response.
  • Slider state is preserved across sessions.

3. Pro Manual Controls

Added the Viewfinder Pro control drawer with:

  • Manual Focus
  • Shutter Speed
  • ISO
  • Live Focus Peaking

These controls are exposed through the native camera components, including camera.ark_edge_hex, across supported Pixel models.

4. Morphe Manager Compatibility and Fixes

  • Bundled Dalvik Executable (classes.dex): Patches are pre-compiled for Android's ART/Dalvik runtime, allowing Morphe Manager to detect and execute the Pixel Camera patches directly on-device.
  • Extended Package Matching: Added compatibility for:
    • com.google.android.GoogleCamera
    • com.google.android.GoogleCamera.morphe

5. Testing

v1.0.2 has been tested on:

  • Pixel 8 Pro
  • Pixel 7

Additional testing on other Pixel generations is still ongoing.

Known Issue

  • Pixel 10 / Pixel 10 Pro photo saving: Photo saving may still not work correctly on Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro devices. This issue is still under investigation and may require further fixes in a future release.

  • Tag: 1.0.2 or v1.0.2
  • Asset: patches-1.0.2.mpp

The .mpp patch bundle should be attached directly to the GitHub release.
