Alchemist Coder 1.3.1
Alchemist Coder 1.3.1: tabs and a browser of its own for every project, and an app that never moves you.
New
- Tabs, and a browser for each project. Every project gets its own browser, with its own cookies, sign-ins and tabs.
- The pane shows the browser of the project you're on. An agent only ever uses its own project's browser, so one project's agents never see another's pages or logins.
- The tab strip has + for a new tab (up to 12) and × to close one. What a page would open in a new window opens in a new tab.
- Agents get three new tools: list their tabs, bring one to the front and close one. They can also open a page in a new tab.
- If an agent is browsing in another project, the title bar says so in words ("Claude Code is browsing · App Factory"). A click takes you there.
- A shield that says what each agent may do. The permission chip has a new crest-shaped shield with one sign per mode, clear at 14 px in dark and light themes:
- an eye: reads only;
- a question mark: asks before acting;
- a check: accepts edits;
- a bolt, in the danger tone: allows everything.
- Motion that never moves the layout.
- Buttons press in, and dialogs and menus rise in.
- A new message slides in once.
- A working agent's card breathes, and one waiting for you calls a little louder.
- Changing theme cross-fades the colours.
- Reduce motion turns all of it off.
- Help → Star Alchemist Coder on GitHub. The welcome screen also says a star helps others find the app.
Fixed
- The app never moves you on its own.
- A conversation you start, or a fork, shows up in the sidebar while you stay where you are. Before, it could pull you back to it and to its project.
- Once a new conversation is saved, that project's «New conversation» starts empty. Before, Send could continue the old conversation.
- During the first index, the project you're on stays open.
- An agent using the built-in browser no longer opens the pane. The title bar says it's browsing, and a click opens it.

- macOS:
-arm64.dmg(Apple Silicon) or-x64.dmg(Intel). It isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first time macOS says it can't verify the app.- Click Done.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Click Open Anyway.
- Windows:
-setup.exe. If SmartScreen warns you, choose More info → Run anyway. - Linux:
-x86_64.AppImageor-amd64.deb.- Make the AppImage executable; it needs no extra packages.
- Install the .deb with
sudo apt install ./Alchemist-Coder-1.3.1-amd64.deb.
SHA256SUMS lists the checksums. Every installer was installed and opened on a real machine of its platform before this release.
