File Transfer

TransportChat supports sending files over the LAN with encryption and progress indicators.

Send a File

1. Open a chat.
2. Tap Attach and choose a file.
3. Optionally add a note.
4. Send.

Receive a File

• You will be prompted to choose a save location.
• Progress is shown inside the chat.
• When done, tap Open to view the file with an external app.

Notes

• Files are encrypted on the wire (same session as text).
• Large files may be constrained by the network bandwidth.
• The sender sees progress; the receiver sees progress and save location prompt.
